When Ray and Donna Densmore set up shop in their Old Mystic home in 1949, they understood the true value of a family owned and operated business. Now, 65 years later, Densmore is still family owned and operated, continued by their son Mark who runs the company out of a beautifully restored building on Water Street, in the heart of downtown Mystic, CT.
We Make Warm Friends is more than just a slogan that Donna Densmore dreamed up over 60 years ago; she understood the value of a family owned and operated business. By putting the family name on every service van and fuel delivery truck, we’ve continued to maintain the importance of a warm, friendly, family attitude.
In the past 65 years, Densmore Oil Company and the Densmore family have donated over $25,000 a year to southeastern CT charities, youth sports teams, local hospitals, community associations, and the Stonington High School scholarship fund.
