10 out of 10 would recommend this place to anyone! Such a great atmosphere and the bartenders are so friendly. The drinks are so fun and creative plus Amazing testing! If you're in the area you gotta come check this place out. They close at 10pm but that adds to its greatness. I just so happened to stumble upon this amazing hidden gem! Thank you so much for an amazing first experience! I will definitely be coming back to try out the rest of your studio Ghibli themed drinks!
I cannot begin to describe just how amazing our experience with Chris, the staff, and the distillery was when we hosted our wedding reception here. It was a wedding that was planned in 2 months; and as hectic of an undertaking as it was to achieve, it could not have happened without this venue going far above and beyond our expectations to fulfill our every need. Seriously, blown away. From signature cocktails to distillery tours for our guests to allowing us time the day before to unload our mountain of decorations to the fabulous bartenders and inviting atmosphere, Chris let us do what we needed to do to have this event and did it with smiles and accommodations that would've cost us a fortune had we booked any other place. We had 50 guests and did not feel cramped once. This venue always felt intimate but was surprisingly spacious. If you are looking for your venue, this is it. You have found it. If my wife and I were to get married again we would love to book here all over again.
Fantastic drinks to be found here. Zachary the bartender was an awesome guy and made awesome drinks. I particularly liked the 5 cent advice I think it was called apple pie and baking spices. I wanted a sweet after dinner cocktail and it was perfect not too sweet either. The setting is neat, supposedly haunted too. If they still have the Applewood smoked whiskey, and you like smokey scotches or leather oriented flavors e.g. lagavulin 16 give it a try. I'm not saying it's 10+ year old whiskey, but it is a nice micro product with really a experimental attempt on rye. Has lapsong souchong tea in it too, a very interesting rye indeed
Scheduled a private tour and tasting on a Friday afternoon. Chris lead the tour and was very engaging and open. All participants had a good time. In addition to being a good distillery, the bar is a good bar, all of our people felt comfortable. Very much recommend.
Chris gave us a wonderful and informative tour of the Distillery and we tried several types of their alcohol. We enjoyed the experience and bought a few bottles of bourbon. We also bought four of his "tipping" glasses! They are great conversation pieces!. Thank you for a fun afternoon Chris!
Last month we visited Denver Distillery. It was our second or third time. We absolutely love their house made gin. They also make an incredible coffee liqueur, from coffee extracts of the local Kaladi Coffee roasters. Located near the intersection of Broadway and Alameda, it is right across the street from Lil' Devils. Their bartenders are amazing! The menu has some very interesting house specialties, but they are also willing to craft any custom desire. We happened to luck-out, and got there in time to join a free tour of the distillery, which is mostly in the basement. Tours are available almost every day, but must be pretty early in the evening, before 6pm. Our guide was one of the master distillers, who had a very impressive beard. The history of the building, the process involved to open a distillery in Denver, and learning about the actual distilling process was very informative and free... and of course you get to enjoy the tour with a cocktail in hand! Definitely a tour for all five senses. This would be a great way to start an evening out on the town, especially impressing out of town guests.
Delicious and unique drinks, friendly staff, and cool historical building. Highly recommend!
Trying a flight of their Bourbons and Ryes. Good quality! Actually stayed for about 4 hours and tried more of their products. Paige was amazing during my stay as we chatted about all the different spirits.
We had a reeeeaaally good time here! Joined the free tour with the head destiller, which was really interesting and dude was a very funny guy we had a lot of laughters with! We also bought two bottles of their Gin, got a sample of their new bourbon and went for a really tasty Gin Tonic! Thanks to the guys in the destillery!
The drinks were great albeit VERY strong and the bar had an unpretentious vibe. I very much dig that they make their own products. I can only give it 4 stars because it was ridiculously warm in there. I’m not sure if their air was malfunctioning or this is normal at Denver Distillery, but on a hot Summer day 90+ degrees, it was not a comfortable drinking environment.
