I live in Denver proper and had Sunday and Wednesday service for nine months. I only received the Wednesday paper once, so I switched to Sunday-only and stopped getting the paper altogether. They offered me credits, but those expired before I got anything delivered. After spending hours on the phone over three months of trying to resolve the issue, I just gave up and canceled. It’s just not worth the hassle. If the Denver Post print edition dies, it won’t be because of the Internet, it’ll be because of incompetence.
We have only delivered the paper 3 times in the last two weeks, when we are supposed to get it every day. The three times the paper came, it was the previous day's paper AND didn't arrive until after 4pm. After weeks of calling customer service every day, and being told the paper would be there within a few hours it never showed, someone today finally admitted they did not have a paper carrier in our neighborhood, and that we would have to continue to receive the our paper a day late until they found someone. When we asked for a refund customer service told us it was their policy not to ever issue refunds, even when they can't provide the product purchased. Really wanted to support the local paper, now understand why its dying in the first place. Such a shame.
I had a worker at king Soopers offer a great deal on a subscription and that it will help him with his job and can cancel in three month if I would like but staying that time would help him. I agreed and I have been getting the paper often and would forget it in the driveway occasionally and then one day it just stopped. It’s been two month now since I have gotten it and just looked at my bank account and I saw this whole time I have been getting charged. I called in to complain and there is a no-refund policy which was not explained to me when purchased so if your delivery person stops delivering and steals your papers they will not do anything about it to rectify the situation. I would highly recommend not getting the paper and paying for a online subscription to a different company so there is no way the Denver post can steal from you and you can make sure you are getting your moneys worth. I had access to online as well but I physically wanted the paper. I would recommend never doing business with them as they have now stollen close to $75 and will not help since there is no refund policy.
If I could give a thousand negatives stars I would. The Denver post has been taking money out of my bank account for month. I have never set up a subscription for them. They are the biggest scam and money stealers I have ever met. When I call they say I don’t have an account so they can’t do anything about it. They have took over $90 out of my bank with out my knowledge. They are refusing to cancel anything I never set up and are happy with taking someone’s money that doesn’t even have an account or subscription. If I were you stay far away from this company. All they are is Liars and scam artist. There are so many more ways to get your news for free and subscription. This company is a huge red flag. If you don’t want your money stolen I wound highly recommend go somewhere else.
I have been a customer for 35 years. My ability to receive a paper has gone steadily downhill. After renewing my subscription for a year with supposed daily service, I am lucky if I get a paper 2x/week. I don't know how much longer I can put up with service like this. Calling in doesn't help at all because they have canned responses that never lead to improved service. Hopefully someone at the paper who is in a management position will see my cry for HELP! I would give no stars if that were an option!!!
Absolutely horrible customer service. They go out of their way to make it difficult and time consuming to cancel. I could not cancel online and spent over 20 minutes on hold with customer service...the first person I spoke with had to transfer me...the seconds person repeatedly 5+ times tried to convince me not to cancel. He even told me to "calm down". I asked to speak to a manager and was told that was why I was transferred in the first place. Ultimately I called my credit card company to ensure they were blocked from subsequent charges. I do not recommend supporting this company.
I ordered delivery on Friday, Jan 13th. The paper was never delivered. I called 3 times and was told each time the problem would be fixed. The third call was supposed to be “escalated” to a supervisor. On the 4th call I asked to cancel The paper and get my money back. I was told they don’t refund money, even though I never received the paper. The guy on the phone gave me several unacceptable options but I finally had to choose mail delivery. Supposedly it comes same day as published. We’ll see.I suppose the paper will blame it on Covid or supply chain issues or the phase of the Moon but the bottom line is they took my money and didn’t deliver the promised product.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING MONEY AWAY!!!!!! I was told at my local King Soopers that it was $30.03 for 3 months of the denver post. If I canceled before 9/24 I would not be charged. I just checked my account 12 days before cancel and I've been charged. Trying to get my money back they said it could take up to 14 days and there is a no refund policy. I spoke to two people who would not allow me to talk to the higher ups and found out that I have been charged not once but 3 times because I signed up for easy-pay they can take money when ever they want. This is very bad business!!!!
FALSE ADVERTISING! NETWORK OF THIEVES. THE LAW WILL CATCH UP TO THEM. We went into a Walmart and the rep told us how we can sign up for a trial of the Denver post for only $30 and we would receive a $20 giftcard. We made sure to ask that it would not auto renew and were led on to believe that it would end after a month. We did not receive the paper for quite some time so we thought the trial was over. However when we looked at our credit statement we were charged on two more occasions! With little help of their “no refund policy”. We find out their telemarketing team is located in a completely different state of Arizona. To all the other reviewers have no fear the Denver post will feel KARMA.
I wish I had read the reviews before signing up. They had multiple issues with my deliveries so I had to call for help multiple times. They don't give refunds so they extended my service for a few weeks. I was supposed to be able to cancel by 9-18 but they charge your card 10 days before the cancelation date and then refuse to issue a refund. They should be sued and go out of business for their poor business practices.
