Thank each and every one of you, for all your tirleless efforts, to make Massachusetts so beautiful Keep up the good work!
I have a serious complaint with your website and forwarding this to your department manager would be much appreciated. I have tried to pay the $25 parking ticket before the 20 days online was due but was not able to do so due to the fact the parking ticket was not registered in the system, although I have evidence to appeal this. After around June 19-20, I have finally got the attachment on the website and will not allow me to appeal. Seriously, please fix your website as soon as possible. The reason why I want to appeal is because on May 29, 2022 I have paid for parking but have not realized that I forgot to put it on the windshield. One of the areas I have parked at Harold Parker State Park did not mention clearly that I had to put a proof of payment for parking I paid for parking at Great Brook State Farm. PLEASE FIX YOUR WEBSITE AND PUT MORE CLEAR SIGNAGES IN YOUR PARK FOR THE SAKE OF OUR CITIZENS PLEASE!!!
We live along the Charles Cambridge,Watertown line. The grass all along Greenlight Blvd. and the surrounding DCR responsibilities are horrendous. Tree trimming also very poor. Not any good place within your site to give constructive criticism. Please resolve some of these issues and plan better for next year. A disgrace!! Update: December 2022 The Grove Street light, going to Greenough Blvd. ,allows a right turn. Motorists not aware of this no sign to say anything and cars approach blocking left lane to allow vehicles to get by and take right. Either better signage or redesign the intersection, which is too narrow for a right turn lane. Still poor grass maintenance on DCR roadways.Still a disgrace to see there properties, which are mostly around Charles near me. Get it together or abolish this disastrous non performing agency. They make the old MDC look good.!! The new lights on Grove and Coolidge will add more problems to an already horrific traffic area. They are slated to be installed spring of 2023.This will really back things up!!
Nice job ruining a state landmark by barricading it away from the public. Bash Bish Falls will never be the same because of you. People who hold memories here will never be able to re visit the moment they once had. Engagements, times with passed loved ones, children, etc. completely taken away. Oh but wait! You can “experience” the falls from yards away over a disgusting metal fence. How nice! Disgraceful.
This is a posting by Eric Chivian, Constance Jacobson's husband. It is impossible to reach anyone at DCR. This is a government agency our tax dollars pay for, and it is unreponsive to its citizens. I have tried everything possible to reach someone to ask whether our cars will be towed on a DCR road. The Hingham office doesn't answer the phone. The Causeway office in Boston gives multiple options, none of which apply to the above request, and then gives the Commissioners extension which won't allow calls in. The question box says it is for comment only and there will be no reply. This is an agency that is not serving us. It must be changed with a new governor.
a miserable institution whose only goal it seems is to jam more cars through spaces that should be reserved for people and nature. see: recent cancellation of memorial drive saturday recreation days in Cambridge. for shame, DCR. for shame.
City of Revere says residents can park on Revere Beach Boulevard with a resident sticker. So, like I have done for the past 11 years that I have lived here, I go to the beach and park on the beach side since that's where I'm going and I have 3 little children with me trying to avoid crossing one of the most dangerous streets in Revere. Then I get a ticket from the Department of Conservation and Recreation for not paying the meter. What the heck is going on? It's a joke!! Time to find a new state to live it because all of the taxes you already take from me isn't enough!
I am writing about Chestnut Hill Driveway in Brighton. The purpose of this roadway was originally for access for residents and people using the reservoir park. Since the use of GPS, it has become a major throughway for drivers using a shortcut from Beacon St. to Comm. Ave. I have lived on this road for 12 years - the traffic here has greatly increased and people do not respect the posted speed limit of 20 MPH. There need to be speed bumps and stop signs installed, especially near the residential area. This are is used by many children and dogs and you take your life in your hands when you try to cross the street even to access your car! Currently there are some old cobblestones which do not work as speed bumps and people driving quickly over them create alot of unnecessary noise for the residents. I like to have my windows open but the noise from these many cars travelling at 30 and 40 MPH over the cobblestones is very disruptive. Please do something about this!
I don’t know how many calls emails I drop to them. We are trying to finalize a special permit application. We are on time for all the documents however our application is still not yet completed. And no body care enough to give us an update. Something should change here. People please pick up the phone or email at least.
I received a parking ticket last month which I made several attempts to pay the ticket but it would not register for payment, low & behold after 21 days the ticket is available for payment with a $10 late fee. I’m not sure if it’s because of the pandemic there was a delay but it seems pretty scammy that initially the ticket couldn’t be found but after 21 days it then becomes available to be paid with a late fee. I called the State police barracks in Revere who I received the ticket from & they stated that this should not have happened especially if DCR didn’t have the ticket available online for payment. I contacted DCR by phone & email with no response at all.
