Des Moines Funny Bone

The comedian was fantastic. The food service needed some help. I understand the wait staff has a difficult job, with the entire rush all arriving at show time, but perhaps they should consider more staff and smaller sections. Bottomless soda was only refilled once. My husband got his meal after an hour. I had to wait for an opportunity to ask for my food after 2 hours, nearly at the end of the headliners set. However, it was delicious once received, and I was comped $6 on a $14 sandwich.

We went to see Cedric the Entertainer. His set was amazing. Food and drink were okay. I would go again, all seats are good seats

Our table was so close to the next one, we had to stagger our chairs just to sit. The wait staff forgot about us, and after our drink minimum was met, we had an automatic 15% tip charged. It felt like they were just trying to wring every penny out of you while giving you terrible service. (I had to ask for my water and drink 3 times, and when they brought it out, it was red wine....I ordered champagne....we also only saw our actual server when she took the initial order and when she dropped the check.) We only went to see the comedian, not sure we will return. I'd give it 1 star but the comic was hilarious and the acoustics were good, so that is worth noting.

Great performances!! Great wait staff!! Reasonsbly priced drinks!! Soso on the food. Overall very enjoyable.

Awesome atmosphere! New to Des Moines! Date night with my wife and a friend. Had a great time! Not too expensive but drinks are not free!! Appetizers are ok. But will go back again.
