Maybe I'm just missing something. I come into Deseret Industries about once a year and never find anything. Their prices are great, but it seems almost like it's simply everything that never sold it people's garage sales. Even they're locked case was lackluster. I know that this thrift store has been around since I was a kid, and probably even longer than that, so there has to be something about it the people like. I just know that I don't see it every time I go in.
The walking dead is an awesome show and thanks to my mom for getting me a figure from there. Thanks mom and god bless you you are the best. The people were friendly to me and their selection of books furniture and toys are the best. Please shop and support this small business you will not be disappointed at all. Will keep coming back here. God bless you guys for all you do
Hands down my favorite thrift store. Everything is reasonably priced: $4 for a shirt, $6 for fancy shirts, $7 for pants, and $12 for suit jackets. The clothing is very well organized. It's sorted by size and then color. I love coming here to try and complete full outfits. It's so easy with the color sorting. They have amazing selection, and everything is clean and high quality. The store has 7 fitting rooms you can use. There's three in the men's section and four in the women's section. There's two all-gender restrooms as well. The staff seem to geniunely enjoy working here! They are helpful and kind.
It used to be one of my favorite stores but, they have raised their prices very high even on things that are donated from the Dollar tree this place is selling them for even more! Also why can’t they have a senior discount day!if they are going to be so expensive now
This place has some great prices. The staff is helpful and kind. This place is More affordable than the goodwill.
This is the first DI I've been to outside of Utah. It is clean and well-organized and the prices are generally reasonable and generally cheaper than Goodwill for similar items. In addition to the regular books, toys, housewares and clothing one expects to find in a thrift store, DI also carries craft and sewing items including fabric and remnants. It's also got a section of Mormon used books.
Buyer beware, used to be my favourite thrift store, now they raised prices, things that were .50 cents are now $1.50 and not even worth the .50 cents, used dolls and stuffies are $6 to $7 each . Nothing for even a dollar, lowest priced item I could find was $1.50 on donations. Tried calling, no one ever answers the phone, was going to donate a huge pile of stuff, but with the inflated prices on donations, will find a better place to give and shop. Raising prices 300% is a very bad business decision, place will now be a museum, where discarded items just pile up on the shelves, never selling. Plastic cups from dollar tree, shouldn't be $1.50 each at a thrift store, but they are here.Thrift stores are supposed to be that thrifty, not more than you could buy new. Very disappointed in Desert Industries
Staff is super friendly and got some great find. Prices are definitely cheaper than goodwill. Scored some hard to get weights during these times for $1 each and as you can see the goodwill price was higher!!!
Great prices on books. The parking lot is very narrow, crowded, and difficult to get into. The parking lot is attached to the Burlington Coat Factory parking lot which is much easier to get in and out of.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. The prices are reasonable, the selections are great kind of eclectic and as far as the non goodwill thrift stores I'd put this one as the best in all of Portland. Lighting is kind of drab but if that's the biggest complaint I've got.
