Super tasty and authentic indian food!
This is the real stuff. Most so-called Indian restaurants serve a lot of things that would be unrecognizable to my folks back in Bombay. And the grocery section is a lifesaver - no more trips to Queens or NJ for authentic ingredients, snacks, and junk food. :
Like this place. The food is good not so spicy. Prices are bit expensive for fast food. Still a place to go and try if your in New York. There place on Lexington is not so great I wouldn’t recommend that location.
Some of the best Indian I’ve ever eaten. The Tikka Masala sauce is to die for.
Understand: this is not like any other “Indian Food” place you’ve likely ever been in the US. I haven’t seen its like since India. It’s all about the Chaat, which are stellar! Order the Palak patte ki chaat! And use all the sauces, which are the best and freshest I’ve had anywhere, including India.
It will serve in a pinch. The people managing the place are great and they have little packets of spices. However the food could be more fuller-spicier. Which works for many!
Good Indian street food. Must visit if you like those.
For super flavorful, great priced and full of home cooked food this is my go to Indian choice in the heart of the East Village. I would love to recommend the awesome proprietor for her street savvy food style. Yummy don't walk run to see them.
