Really cute bakery feels for a basic brunch. I had an omelet with turkey sausage and potato casserole. The casserole was the best part. I felt the omelet had way more egg than the toppings. My boyfriend had the Charleston Benedict Crab Cake and he really enjoyed it. Our server was the best. I think her name way started with a T but she was African American with neck length black hair.
Absolutely delicious. The wait staff was awesome. Being my first time there the waitress brought our pimento cheese order with pita bread and 3 other pimento cheese to try. Had the DiPrato's combo and the Breakfast Panini. Will be back . Have other sandwiches I want to try.
First time eating here after looking up deli's around University of South Carolina. Seen great reviews and decided to give it a try. Good choice coming here. Two cooler displays with beautiful pies and cakes in one and assortment of pasta, potato salads. And other side dishes. I chose the Italian hoagie and wife chicken saltimbaca sandwich. Both were great choices because we agreed these were very good sandwiches. For dessert we split a apple pie. WOW.... One of the best pies I've had in a while. Try this bistro, you won't be disappointed.
We went to DiPrato's on my daughter's recommendation. She raved about the place based on her previous visits while attending University of South Carolina Go Gamecocks! Our food was freshly prepared and the service was excellent! They have an extensive deli sandwich menu and I selected a pastrami sandwich on rye New York style with fries. The sandwich was tasty and the fries were the perfect temperature when they were delivered to the table. But you will appreciate this recommendation the most...Get an order of pita chips and pimento cheese. You will probably want to place a takeout order for some to take home as well! Enjoy!
Update12.2.22 I had my first Reuben here today and had high expectations from previous reports of their Rueben. I finished about a third and was not impressed. I then opened up the sandwich and saw the problem immediately. They only scraped not smeared their thousand island dressing on about 1/4 of the sandwich. I immediately showed the waitress and she brought me extra dressing. After applying the dressing, it turned into a good sandwich but not top 10. They homemake the dressing and it has a somewhat different flavor than regular thousand island which I consider a mistake. Definitely not as great as thousand island or Russian dressing which is used in a lot of places, but it was good. BTW I got 2 small orders of their pimento cheese which will blow you away. Smoked Gouda PC and Jalapeño PC. They are fantastic!!! They have about 4 or so homemade varieties that proclaim them to be the pimento cheese capital!!! Original Review My Bride and I had a good lunch today. The deli was loaded with a lot of good food alond with a fish sandwich. Soooo, we had the haddock fish sandwich and some of their famous pimento cheese.
Nice atmosphere with great service. The lunch menu has a variety of sandwiches and salads to choose from that are usually very good. Went with the build your own, and it wasn't worth it as they don't give you a good portion of meat. The sides are tasty but small. Brunch on Sundays is always delicious with tons of options to choose from.
Had an amazing time here today. Just super amazing service. Super amazing food. Great atmosphere. PS try the cheesecake
This place once a terrific place has really fallen from grace. The food quality is not the same. The meals don't have the same appearance and are now slopped on the plate. The portions have gotten much smaller while the price has increased. It is really a shame since Diane has sold the business is has decreased in everything and continues to disapoint. We have been there for the very last time
A friend and I visited this past Sunday, after being told how great the place is. Unfortunately, nothing we were served remotely stood up to the level of praise we’ve had expressed to us. I ordered the caprese sandwich, pasta salad, and tomato soup. The sandwich had stale-tasting bread, a day-old tomato based on how mushy it was, and basically straight-from-the-fridge temp mozzarella. Already a bad start. The tomato soup was straight from a Progresso can, though they did add a small dollop of cheese. Lastly, the “side” pasta salad amounted to about six noodles. After adding the bland sweet tea, which was flavorless, I paid $26 for what is arguably this neighborhood’s worst food. We would’ve asked our waitress for assistance, but we had two other employees help us out. Either way, I’m being generous by giving this place two stars. As a side note, don’t waste your time or money on their packaged chicken salad or pimento cheese. There isn’t anything southern about either, much less any flavor. And yes, to make sure my taste buds weren’t failing, I took a COVID test. It came back negative. This place just doesn’t serve anything worthwhile. I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
A perfect combination of Italian deli meets Southern hospitality. Love this place so unique. It's the only place I've ever heard of where I can get a Reuben and Grits at the same place. We'll be back
