Came in for one specific purpose, to buy a fast pitch SB bat. It was in stock as advertised on the website. The store was VERY neat and well organized. The bats were locked so I found an associate and she helped me tremendously. She went over and beyond to explain the extended warranty policy about the bat to me and offered to help me through the process. She was very knowledgeable. Nicer than any sporting good store I’ve been in lately, by a mile.
Picked up stadium chair...a little pricey, but hey...inflation is here so I'll reserve judgment to see its durability. *to be continued*
It was nearly closing time when we arrived. I regretted getting there so late; feeling hesitant to ask for assistance. What I needed was literally on the highest shelf in the store. It took the coordination of two associates to get the items I desperately needed. They were kind, patient, and thorough. I was able to get everything I needed without being rushed. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Most of the time there is an available staff member in the vicinity for questions. On this visit, that was not the case. When checking out, one of the items didn't have a barcode and couldn't be scanned. The cashier asked me to go get another one. No big deal, just not an ideal experience. However, I can understand as they are probably making preparations for black Friday.
We were looking for a special pair of running shoes because my wife has back issues. There was a woman on the shoes department who was very kind and willing to work with my wife through 20 or more pairs of shoes. She was patient and kind. That's the kind of person worth keeping.
The man working the golf section was more concerned with chastising my 12 year old kid for picking up a golf club and not putting it in the rack properly than to ask him if he could help us find what we needed. He told him if he did not know how to put things back up do not get them out. Put the golf club up and walked away. We were there to buy golf shoes and equipment. We spent 30 minutes in the store and not once were we greeted and asked if we needed assistance. Sad! If you do not want to be helpful you might not be cut out for the service industry.
Call yourself a sporting goods store. Removed archery department and guns but is very misleading over the phone and online! Will be removing my account with your store and no longer shop here! And yes I spoke with an associate who told me they carry archery stuff and to come on in. Drove an hour here to just be told that it’s online only
Called ahead to ask if they could do a refill of my 5 pound canister of C02. Was told they could. Drove 30 minutes to store. Was told they could not. Drove 30 minutes home.
This particular store was horrible! They had soccer shoes on shelf and displays but refused to sell them. Excuse was they could not sell until the 27th and today is the21 of may. Very very rude when I told them I wanted to speak to the G.M. I ask for the name and phone number but was refused as 2 people will testify. I always thought the customer was right especially since it was on DISPLAY.
Golf and shoe departments are great. Fishing dept is lacking and what they do have is EXPENSIVE. Even their "sale" items are expensive.
