Dimitry Goncharov, DO

He disgustingly fulfills every woman's fears surrounding a male gynecologist--he is unprofessional, inappropriate and self-serving. "Doctor" Goncharov has a degree in con-artistry and a minor in misogyny. I visited his office when I was 21 years old and operating on public health insurance--already a dangerous and vulnerable situation. The only reason I chose Mr. Goncharov's practice was because he had rave reviews on Yelp and ZocDoc. Obviously another one of his scams. During my 10 minute visit, he violated my trust in a medical professional and only spoke in Russian to all of the nurses about me. He performed a vaginal ultrasound WITHOUT MY CONSENT--something completely uncalled for and expensive during a routine Pap smear--and placed the creepy cherry on top of the cake of disrespect when he said verbatim "you have a beautiful uterus. It will make your boyfriend or husband very happy one day." After growing as a woman and visiting other doctors who did NOT perform an unnecessary ultrasound or make creepy comments whilst probing my vagina, I would NEVER visit this practice again. I shudder at the idea of my teenage daughter exposed in a room with a man who says "if your boyfriend goes down on you, he could get an STD." A few weeks later, I got two letters in the mail from my insurance company saying "Hey, we were charged WAY more than what we cover for UNNECESSARY procedures and testing by your OBGYN...it's okay this time, but watch out!" Even MEDICAID had more integrity than a "doctor" trained in the field of female health. Do not trust this man, he is taking advantage of his patients and asking them to endorse him on social media. The most disorganized medical office I have ever dealt with. At the time of my service, they called my insurance company and confirmed a service was covered by my insurance. Under this condition, I proceeded with the services. More than a year later, I get notified about a large outstanding balance. It turns out the services were not covered by my insurance. They are still pressing me to receive payment for services 4 years ago, that I never would have agreed to receive if they weren't covered by insurance. I highly advise you do not engage with this office.

Dr. Goncharov was very thorough and I did not feel rushed, even though he was super busy. He provided information that I have heard before but delivered it in a very compassionate way. Great bedside manner. Office was very clean and everyone was welcoming and nice. Happy I gave this office and doctor a try.

I've had a wonderful experience at PureOBGYN. Everyone from the staff, nurses, to the doctors have been attentive and answer any questions. They've been given me useful advice and not jumping to conclusions, but instead being thorough. Bedside manner varies with all of them, but nothing has been stark or unnerving, plus it rightfully gets you comfortable with everyone and I feel like they each know me. I'm glad that this was the place I chose for my first pregnancy.

Initial visit with my spouse, at an advice from multiple sources and web-reviews. I wait in the waiting area, my wife goes in for an initial visit check up. 2,300$ bill sent to my insurance. Guy does tests, which are uncalled for, were not requested, not necessary, especially 1st visit. Still awaiting for a call from this office manager to give her my piece of mind on the type of pushy, fraudulent work behavior this GYN Goncharov Dimitry is using to get his money's worth doing exams/tests/lab work. 1st and last time will be seeing this GYN. Avoid if you don't want a similar experience.

Dr. Dimitry Goncharov is the best OBGYN I have ever been to. My husband and I found Pure OBGYN on YELP and he deserves all of the 5 star reviews that he has received. I have been a patient of his since the summer of 2016 and have had many appointments and I am so happy that he is my doctor. Not only is the office lovely, his staff is wonderful--it's always a joy to see them. I highly recommend Dr. Dimitry Goncharov for any woman. He is the best!!!

Doctor Dimitry Goncharov is the best doctor in the world!!! I would highly recommend this doctor to any and everyone that would be willing to listen. People like him are rare and hard to find. He is a top notch professional who has a great talent and a very kind heart.I had officially lost all hope with doctors until I met him. He was my 6th OB-GYN for last 3 months. My diagnose was bilateral ovarian cystectomy with 10 cm on the right side and two smaller cyst on the left side. Most OB-GYNs that I went to said that it's going to be very hard to save my ovaries. Which was my main concern since I am only 25 years old and plan to have kids. Most of OB-GYNs were trying to avoid taking the responsibilities of performing the surgery and they were not sure of themselves. Doctor Goncharov was very confident and calm when I told him about my problem. He made me feel that I could trust him and he assured me that he would try his best to save the ovaries. I am now 5 days post op. no one can even tell that I had a pretty complicated and serious surgery-my abdomen looks exactly as it did before the laparoscopy besides three tiny incisions. Right after the surgery was complete, which took around 4 hours, Doctor Goncharov told me that the operation was not easy, but everything turned out well and my ovaries were not touched. He is just as good as you can imagine and a little more. I really have no words, he is just someone special who can do just about anything and never make you feel uncomfortable, as we girls often feel with OB-GYN. I don't dread my visits to OB-GYN anymore, I look forward to it! He is a great person I will continue to receive services from him! He is very patient and caring, amazing, gentle and very professional, he always listens to my problems. I will always recommend this doctor to anyone who wants a true professional who is dedicated to his work and his patients.

DR Gonchorov is one of the best doctors and by far the best OB GYN in New York. I don't understand how word of him hasn't spread far and wide-- he is so much better than Spring Obgyn and the other popular practices out there. He helped me have the birth I wanted and was there for me every step of the way. He never rushes, is always patient and caring. Simply the best!

All I can is Dr.Goncharov is the best GYN ON EARTH!!! HE is so comprehensive, Respectful, caring, people's person, down to earth, and a great listener!!

Marina Kuperman, is absolute 5 star doctor, She is the best one I have experience to see in years...she is always taking her time with me, educating abut family planing, answering all the questions....very sincere and professional... I am happy I got to know about this office.
