Wow wow wow! Upon entering this place it smelled so heavenly. Just like fresh cakes and cupcakes being pulled out of the oven at that very moment. The owner was gracious enough to offer me a free dozen cupcakes to pick up for my friends birthday as we were visiting from GA and I found them on Yelp. I couldn't just part with cupcakes as the display case screamed my name. I had the yellow cake with chocolate frosting, one friend had cookies and cream cake while another had the pineapple upside down cake slice. All were superb. The Red Velvet cupcakes were definitely my favorite as I'm a Southern girl Just missing pecans.

I just know I gained about 15 lbs in two days! So a friend of mine told me about this place and I decided to try it out for the first time since I was in BK. I purchased a slice of red velvet, lemon, strawberry, and carrot cake! It was so freaking good, I came all the way back from CT to get another slice of lemon, red velvet, Oreo, and banana pudding!

Pretty much anytime I need a cake I get it from Docs & they never disappoint. Ive had cakes and cupcakes from here and the designs are always cute and the cakes always taste amazing. Highly recommend!

This is the best bakery I've had in NYC. They made my Anniversary Cake and OMG THIS CAKE JUST MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWESOME THE STAFF IS THE BEST. Every time I come to NYC I'm calling you and coming to get me some . I'm telling you if you haven't been there you need to go ASAP. I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed at all. The lemon strawberry Cake was DELICIOUS and so was my Anniversary cake too. THANK YOU AGAIN CHRIS, JO, LIL BILL YOU'RE THE BEST

I don’t often buy cakes from bakeries as I’m a baker myself and always get disappointed in paying for something that I can make better. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how incredible their red velvet cake was. Maybe the best I’ve ever had! The price is 100% worth it and I will be coming back. Thank you for your talents!

I like to support local and minority-owned businesses, but sometimes it’s difficult for me to do for different reasons. This place has good cakes, no complaints about that. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit high $7 for a slice of cake, it used to be $6, the portion sizes are inconsistent see photos, not easy to see in the pictures though, and customer service and packaging aren’t the best. I usually “treat” myself once a year for my birthday. However, I’ve had 3 slices within the past 3 weeks because I’ve been craving cake. I guess I’ll go back to just getting a slice for my birthday every year, if I even decide to buy from them again at all.

Wow - can't believe I'm lucky enough to live two doors away from this amazing place! Super friendly and the cake is as good as I've ever had and I've worked with two James Beard winning pastry chefs. Worth the trip from wherever you are. Can't wait to try the peach cobbler tomorrow!!

One of the best bakeries I've been to in Brooklyn. I can only vouch for the cake , my favorite would probably have to be the pistachio. They have this point system so when you go you enter your phone number and get points towards free desserts and I was just rewarded a free slice of cake so I decided to try the new cake which was the Christmas cake and my Lord that thing was delicious. This place can do no wrong by me when it comes to their cakes.

Simply wow! That’s what I have been hearing from all of my Christmas dinner guests about Docs magnificent red velvet pound cake. It was well worth the shipping to CT. “the first for the bakery” outside the borough. Not only did the cake, pumpkin pie and cupcakes exceed expectations, we were overwhelmed by the extra mile the service provider went to ensure the delivery was satisfactory by calling to check in truly an A++ experience. We can’t get enough. Docs is officially my bakery of choice for future special occasions despite the distance. Worth every penny!! ‍ ‍

This review might be long, but here it goes.. So initially I was trying to order a cake from cake man raven in Harlem, being as though I have had his cake before.. his customer service TERRIBLE! already left him his bad review As I was reading his reviews, a handful of people mentioned Docs Cake Shop being better cake wise and customer service wise, so I figured if a couple people are mentioning Docs in harlem cake mans reviews, I should give it a try. IM SO HAPPY I DID! Ordered two cakes for my moms birthday, customer service PHENOMENAL! The lady helping me on the phone was great and not once got annoyed with my 1,000 questions. Ordered the cakes, paid very reasonably price Drove from Jersey to pick it up, I picked up the 2 cakes and bought 4 different slices as well. I have found my go to cake shop! very pleased. taste was amazing, price was amazing. Worth the drive & toll! Thank You !!!!
