Docent Coffee + Cafe

BEST COFFEE IN ATLANTA! I was having to cut down on morning coffee because no matter how I made it, it would upset my stomach but then I was given docent coffee and I haven’t looked back since. Been a huge fan since the beginning. These guys KNOW what they are doing. Also their pastries are yum! Aaand they have a lovely patio.

The bag of Cloud Walker Papua New Guinea I just ground up & dropped into my drip maker is easily the best cup of coffee I've ever made at home. I want to kiss everyone involved with getting this go-go juice into my belly.

The shop itself has a bright, cheerful interior with a wonderful patio and even a rooftop seating area. Not only is the coffee great and roasted on location, but the staff is always friendly and truly knowledgable about coffee. They are also just nice people and easy to talk to. We live around the block and always make it a point to buy our coffee here to support them. I wish the food menu was just a little larger, but their croissants are delicious: light, flaky, and buttery unlike some others I've had locally that are more Americanized and doughnuty. So happy these guys are in the neighborhood!

This place is amazing and should be known by all. We had the privilege to meet one of the owners, Jeff, today and we had a great conversation with him. These guys are passionate and dedicated and should be fully supported. Will be coming here more often and will be buying our coffee bags from here from now on. Amazing stuff! They have indoor and outdoor space alongside a rooftop patio.

Dope spot! Visiting from Fairfax VA and always nice to see local roasters and even more important good people running it. Scott is super nice and their selection of beans are on point!

Coffee is great, location is great, no options for kids drinks, no flexibility from staff or manager to sell steamed milk or steamed milk with mocha chocolate. Bad excuse for lack of flexibility using cold beers POS system. Will probably shake out better but hopefully this is seen as positive feedback

Lots of passion in this little place on Edgewood. A renovated Cafe + Velo, turned Roastery. They are serving right from the source. Didn't have any pastries but they are also made in house.

Best matcha and mocha lattes in the city - not to mention the most authentic French croissants anywhere in metro Atlanta. Docent is what you get when you combine the best bakery and coffee shop in a great walkable, transit accessible neighborhood. Oh and it probably has the best outdoor seating of any cafe around!

Their pear chocolate almond croissant was probably the best croissant I have ever had. The Italiano toast was also pretty good. I went there on a rainy afternoon but they had a spacious outdoor seating area which looked like it would be a nice place to be at on a better day.

Docent's menu is superb, the coffee is delicious, the pastries are unreal! My husband and I have been visiting the cafe on the regular and my absolute favorite menu item is the avocado toast The Italiano. It's got the most avocado I've ever had on a single piece of sourdough bread sooooooo good!
