I was very disappointed in Docs Urgent Care on Sunday, 11/28/22. I made an appointment for my son to test for Flu online. It was made at 10:30 am. Scheduled for 4:15. We arrived at 4:10. The facility had patients waiting maybe 3. We were told that the provider would not be seeing any further patients for that day. Even though we had an appointment. Apparently, he had to leave on time. I was a clinical PA at Yale in the Emergency Room and Neurosurgical Floor for 26 years. Not once did I ever turn a patient away. I guess that is why I was always late coming home. I feel that was disgraceful and hope it wasn’t a PA on duty. I wouldn’t know, never got past the front desk. I will never go to a Docs Urgent Care again. Or let any of my friends or family go either.
No stars if I could. I had scheduled an appt for 5pm to see the doctor at the DOCS Urgent Care North Haven while at the DOCS Orange location around 1:30pm this afternoon 11/5/2022. The lady that took care of me in Orange was very nice. She took my vitals and told me all I had to do was show up and someone would see me. When I arrived in North Haven before 5pm I was not spoken to until after 5p and at that point was told that the Dr. doesn’t see patients after 5pm. The Orange location didn’t seem aware of this when the appointment was made for me. So if they’re gonna market that they’re open until 6pm it would be great for them to also note that they deny patients with appointments at or after 5pm as well. Now I’m literally sitting in an exam room waiting for results and no one can prescribe me anything since they're not licensed to. All while the Dr walks around and makes jokes to his staff members lol. What a joke of a Dr.s office.
It's a bad sign when a doctor acts like he is afraid to get too close to examine his patient's finger. He was very standoffish. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious. Do better! UPDATE: My personal doctor not only examined me closely, he corrected the prescription. I needed 3x's the amount prescribed by DOCS. Thank God we caught the infection before it spread.
If I could give this place a zero I would unprofessional on everything positively you make an appointment but when you go there they don’t have anyone available!! What’s the point of making the appointment for? To bill you!!!!! For nothing. This place should be shut down considering looking thru these reviews I should have known better.
This place is a scam. I’ve been trying to contact billing to no avail. They keep sending me a bill of almost $500 for a simple office visit. Insurance was given at time of visit and was told all set. No one seems to want to take my calls
Pay cash every time you go, they will charge your bank account for no reason and never pay it back. They stole 95$ from my bank account and after 4 calls nothing has been done. They also put me in collections while my insurance was looking over all of the bills I received. My insurance said it will take two months to look through everything. They put me in collections after a month and messed up my credit score.. After I finished my covid test I asked the person at the front desk how I will find out what my results are. She kindly said you can just call and if we have them we'll let you know what it is. I've tried every extension and was only able to get through to billing who wasn't very helpful. They said they can't help me over the phone, They need my "portal account". Now I wasn't told anything about a portal account, or what it is. Please explain these things to your patients My name is Eddy, Not Eddie. Get it right
I have Covid symptoms and tested positive multiple times at home. Went here to get a test for work. Not only do they use the test that isn’t covered by insurance $75, but they didn’t swab me correctly. They barely went into my nostrils and it came back negative. They also told me it was “the most accurate test you can get” when I questioned my negative result. I didn’t believe it, so I ended up going to a CVS drive through self test 30 minutes after leaving DOCS. Not only was it free, but I was able to actually swab myself properly, and got a positive result. It also doesn’t help that the person who tested me was wearing their mask incorrectly and was coughing the whole time.
Their billing department has been absolutely atrocious to deal with. I was able to submit a claim directly to my insurance company and that visit was fully covered. They have owed me a refund since the claim was processed in December 2021. My insurance company has been attempting to contact them repeatedly since then with no response. If I could put 0 stars I absolutely would; I would not recommend this company at all.
I came in and there was only one person ahead of me. I waited awhile and then got let into a room. Where the doctor stood outside the room talking with a colleague on non-work related material for 10 minutes. When the doctor came in I got lectured on how qtips caused my strep throat and how they cause cancer. The actual examination wasn't thorough and I felt like I wasn't listened too. When I left their computer system was down so they will have to send my bill which will be an additional charge. There was an issue with my prescription so I called later and they said I wasn't seen there and gave me the run around. Needless to say I would not go there ever! And as a nurse I'm appalled at how this was handled.
If I were to rate this business based on the medical care, I’d give it a one star but the office staff- ladies at the front desk and aides- were so sweet and kind. They were personable and helpful. The nurse practitioner that I saw, however, was rude and disrespectful. I was in a lot of pain and she discounted me in every way. This woman interrupted me when I was speaking and I vowed to never step foot in this place again. She also questioned my symptoms and she acted as if I was lying just so I could get medication which would have just been a short round of antibiotics. The worst bedside manner I’ve seen.
