Dog Days of New York

Story

Dog Days of New York is a dog care facility on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The founders of Dog Days of New York are all local residents and dog owners who as a group decided to create a dog care facility for local dogs and dog owners that reflected what they wanted in a dog care facility and not just what was available. The creation of Dog Days of New York was based on a shared set of beliefs:

•We believe no two dogs are alike and no one solution is appropriate for all dogs.
•We believe dogs should be cared for in space that has natural light, is not hidden from view and is maintained to the highest standards.
•We believe dogs need to not only be supervised but engaged during the day, with appropriate periods of rest and play. We believe they should never be left unsupervised while in someone else's care whether it is day or night.
•We believe dogs should be provided water throughout the day.
•We believe dogs are better behaved when they aren't placed in situations to prove us wrong.
•We believe dogs benefit greatly from exercise and socialization in groups but only when those groups are reasonably sized and appropriately supervised.
•Finally, we believe dog care providers should treat our dogs as well as we treat them ourselves. It is not possible to spoil a well-behaved dog.
