Dogtopia has been less than communicative. We had our purebred Siberian Husky there for 2 weeks boarding and then some day camp days. Our husky has been temperament tested and is around our 2 and 5 year old constantly as well as other dogs. When we picked her up on her last daycamp day we were told there was altercation between her and another dog but nothing further. fast forward 2 weeks later and we go to drop her off for a scheduled daycamp only to be told that she’s been dismissed. We never received missed calls or a voicemail. No emails. Just showed up and told she’s never welcome back because the other dog was injured. Absolutely ridiculous. Including a picture of the “killer dog” in question. I do not recommend this place at all for any high energy breeds.
My dog just finished his second day of daycare, and it’s amazing! The staff is very accommodating and tells me about his day. It’s very clean, and I like that they wipe him down at the end of the day. He is a very high energy dog, and I’m so happy to find a caring place where he gets to socialize with similar dogs and comes home ready to relax.
STAY AWAY! Where do I start.. Long story short.. they pulled a bait and switch, our dog got hurt there and they never told us, and they’ve stolen money from us by overcharging and going on 60 days and no refund.. then did it again. Staff is laughably incoherent and incredibly frustrating to deal with. Full story: When we toured the place they offered us a deal where both of our dogs can get unlimited service for the price of one.. and we instantly cancelled the rest of the daycare tours and went with them cause that deal is unbeatable. They then would keep charging us for the other dog even though THEY OFFERED US THE DEAL, we never asked for it, but they still kept overcharging us. We’ve had to go back for a couple refunds and that is the worst process. They will give you a receipt for the refund then next thing we know it was store credit. The most recent event: We got overcharged on June 30th and have gotten 2 separate receipts for the refund yet it ended up being store credit so when we went in a couple days ago they said.. oh it doesn’t go on the card yes it does cause our last one did and offered to mail us a check.. and i agreed cause what else can we do at this point.. it’s clear they don’t communicate nor have a clue what they’re doing.. THEN.. this is the best part.. THEY DID IT AGAIN. THEY OVERCHARGED US AGAIN. now we have to do another fight for another refund even though we are still waiting for the one from almost 60 days ago. They also took away the deal they promised us.. so classic bait and switch. Our dog got attacked one day too and had clear cuts in his nose but we didn’t realize till on the way home and had to call them to get the info.. so they didn’t let us know what was going on.. incompetent staff beyond belief. This place was supposed to be a great opportunity for our dogs to socialize and get out more and this place and it’s staff have been nothing but irresponsible, incompetent, and incredibly difficult to work with. Would never recommend this place even to the person I hate the most. Just awful. It’s comical.
Our doodle, Wrigley, LOVES dogtopia. He goes twice a week and plays in the toy box even though he’s 45 pounds, he’s a big scaredy-cat of the big dogs. I love being able to check in on him with the webcams and see how he plays with the other dogs. In the beginning, Wrigley was a little Overwhelmed with all the play but now thoroughly enjoys going. He even knows the word “dogtopia” and gets so excited when he hears it! The people are very kind and make sure Wrigley is well taken care and has a blast each time. He comes home, eats dinner and sleeps until the next day. He’s even relaxed the next day when he’s not at dogtopia. They really care about the animals. To give you an idea, the first day we dropped him off he was in the play pen with dogs his same size. They saw he was anxious since he’s used to playing with small dogs and called me right away and told me he was going to go in the toy box. He was much more comfortable there. It just goes to show they are paying attention to each dog and how they are feeling. They gained my trust big time! We are excited to try boarding services this thanksgiving. Thank you for always treating Wrigley like your own!
I couldn’t speak more highly of this location. They are amazing with my very high energy English bull terrier and he loves coming to camp. The staff, Amber in particular, is fantastic, super communicative and friendly.
Dogtopia has been a frustrating place to work with. My purebred Labrador Retriever puppy is sweet, smart, and has never intentionally hurt anyone - although he is admittedly high energy. The staff is not interested in dogs like mine. They have been known to "crate break" dogs for minor things and leave them locked up for extended periods of time - I know this because I actively watching the webcams. Multiple times after picking my puppy up from daycare he was wet and smelled of urine. The staff wears lanyards around their necks and reprimanded my pup for naturally attempting to play with them. They accused him of "choking" the staff. Tasha put my pup on a behavior plan that lasted less than 24 hours, and did not give him a chance to go to training before releasing him the next day. Tasha was the only staff member who seemed to have an issue with my dog. She was continually rude and acted as if my active puppy was an inconvience to her. Dogtopia was expensive, neglectful, and allowed my dog to learn bad habits - and blamed me for it!
If you want your dog socialised and have fun,You need to visit this place. The staff responds well and take good care of dogs in daycare. They have webcams available all day so that we can watch our pups from home.
My dog seems to love it here! The entire team is amazing, great communication and you can just tell that they love the dogs and enjoy what they do. I am very guilty of looking in using the webcams, and have only seen the kindest, most dog loving people. I also have seen that my dog is comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a safe, clean, fun place to take their dog! :
Dogtopia is amazing! Our puppy had the best time, we can’t wait to go back. Such an amazing staff, clean facilities, and very organized. My husband and I both left being totally WOWed. They seem to genuinely love our pup and it is so fun to watch her on their in play room cameras! Definitely check them out
