Dollar Bank

I have banked w/ them since 2013. Never used to have a problem. However, as of late, in their downtown Cleveland location, it has been a ruse. I mailed them a hard copy of a cheque I received from a Canadian company, and the Dollar bank RIPPED IT IN TWO while opening the envelope. Ever heard about such a thing? Well, then they couldn't deposit it, naturally. Outrageous.

All banks will try to drain you as much as they legally can, but with this guys it is just unveliable. I moved to a different state were they do not have Dollar Bank and asked to have my accounts closed and my money transfered to me. Well some "Fee" that probably will be somewhere lost in the middle of the paperwork has been substracted from my account. It is not big deal just $5 but I did have not any money in my checking, just in my savings becasue I WAS NOT USING THE CHECKING! Well they moved money from my saving making me pay 10 bucks to pay the $5 fee. You are a bunch of... well I am gonna save my words. I strongly recommend not trust this people.

The online banking is consistently under maintenance during the midnight to 5,6,7 am no rhyme or reason. Not everyone works M-F 9-5. The credit card operation always wants to upgrade your limit but you have to process it as a brand new card, another hard inquiry to you credit report lots of policies that make no common sense at all, and well out of date. This branch has an upgraded ATM which is nice for deposits, unless its down or you don't mind $400 in tens?????? How about an option if that's all you have, You ask what language to use as the first question. Please someone at DB get a clue as a long time customer, and a preference to use digital, ATM, and Online banking only.

I have banked with Dollar since 2011, savings, checking and mortgage accounts and have had nothing but good experiences in customer service. They are friendly, helpful and a regional bank--not a large, national or impersonal one.

Dollar Bank is really cool! I just moved to Pittsburgh and the telephone customer service, and relationship bankers are really kind, understanding, and professional, even when I was at a branch right when they were about to close. Their customer service is alot better than other branches that treat me like a number.
