Double Play Cafe

I think there are two questions about this place. 1, how is the atmosphere? 2, What is a steamed cheeseburger. The atmosphere is pretty fun. Noise levels are great for conversation unless the jukebox is playing. Good selection of beers and good food. I had the potato skins and a steamed cheeseburger. The steamed cheeseburger was better than I figured. The steaming process seems to foam up the cheese and create a viscous gooey cheese which coats the tongue. Some may complain it makes salt flavors more pronounced.I think if you can stand a bit of a salty cheese on the most tender meat you will ever try, give this place a shot.

This is a hidden gem. You walk in thinking it's just a little neighborhood bar and then they surprise you. The food is amazing. I am yet to have anything on the menu that is mediocre, it all tastes great! And the service is excellent. Ever go to a place where thr staff knows the locals and you get ignored? That does NOT happen here. Whether you know them or not, you get excellent service. They never leave you sitting long, your drinks are refilled, food order is taken and they make sure you are OK. Stop in, you'll love this place.

Nice staff and great steamed cheeseburger and fries. Only thing better would be if they an outside area to eat.

I went to try their #1 cheeseburger and was not disappointed by the burger it was great. But i did make the mistake is not adding lettuce tomato and onion to my order because I miss those on my burger.

Always good food, pleasant atmosphere, and servers treat you like family.
