Hotel is beautifully decorated with vintage modern aviation theme. Staff was friendly professional and extremely attentive. Food in both the Landing restaurant and the Bar and Grill was exceptional. Rosario took care of us for lunch on 10/14 and breakfast on 10/15 and she was fantastic giving us a 5 star experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was a pleasure!
This place was an amazing experience as far as hotels go. On top of that, at least from my experiences and perception they were so accommodating and mindful to the National Federation of the Blind members who were here over the weekend. As a vendor working there I saw Dawn pass me at least 50 times in one day as she went out of her way to escort guests from one side of a very large DoubleTree hotel to the other side. The cleaning staff was also so sweet and happy to be around. Oh, and their warm cookies are delicious!
I was here for a meeting and all went well. Their catering dept could do a better job estimating as food was gone before all ate. At first glance all looks nice but you can tell it is getting dated and needs a refresh. However, those who were able to get some food said it was delicious. Staff very courteous and attentive.Service: 5/5
I only parked here for shuttle service to the airport. However, the lobby did look clean and it's a great location. I was disappointed the staff at the front desk did not greet me upon entering, in fact, I had to speak to them when I walked up to the desk. I understand people come and go consistently, but there were 3 people and none of them were attentive My car was safe though and the shuttle driver kind, even telling me they were supposed to give me a ticket for my vehicle while I was away. I would park here again and potentially consider a stay if needed.
Compared to our experience last night at a Hilton property in Phoenix, this place is top of the mark. Efficient, friendly and focused on the client. All the staff we encountered, from the shuttle driver, front desk, restaurant/lounge to housekeeping were professional and courteous. The facility is well maintained and convenient to Houston Hobby Airport. Definitely on our favorites list and will be visited again on our next trip to the area.
Rooms were decent and clean. I wished the rooms got as cold as the halls though. We came mostly to use the pool and chill for the weekend. The pool was smaller than it looked on the website and they have no lawn chairs to sunbathe so we layer towels on the floor. The bar and restaurant were good. The receptionist up front was a bit rude and that bothered me. I got a room. Went upstairs...called and asked if I could get a pool view room and let them know I did not touch anything in the room. The person I spoke to was kind ..got me the room and even threw in a balcony. She set me up told me to go downstairs and inform the receptionist up front. I thought she Was the girl downstairs. When I go down. The lady didn't even want to look at me. Didn't want to smile. Exchanged the keys in a way that made me feel as I did something wrong. Seriously to the point where I felt like I had to apologize for the inconvenience. "I'm sorry guys...but If I pay for a room and i get the option to get a cozier room with a balcony.. why not"?
The rooms are so nice. The dining area where we ate breakfast is clean, sanitize, and the food was delicious. The staff was very helpful, friendly & professional. It's right next to hobby airport to everyone.Rooms: 5/5
Food is good. But it's hot in the room. I couldn't communicate with maintenance we didn't understand one another. Oh the shuttle driver was nice. They wouldn't bring me water at breakfast. I asked them more than I ask my kids to clean their room. Bring your own air and water. Oh they brought me a Walmart fan you sit on the floor to keep mosquitos away so now I can barely hear the TV because it's loud. So it's either watch TV or be hot. The cookies are good though
I can’t sing the praises of this hotel enough! When you think airport hotels, this Doubletree stands out above the crowd. Fantastic in house restaurant, one of the best tasting I’ve experienced at a hotel. All the staff from checking in to house keeping to the breakfast servers to the waiters and waitresses were EXCEPTIONAL. The breakfast area is a courtyard area with glass atrium ceiling and a water feature, quite the ambiance considering I’m staying within eyesight of the airport I’m flying out of tomorrow. Speaking of airport, I never once heard any noise of any sort that could’ve disturbed me in my sleep. Finally, I want to give a shoutout to Joy at the front desk and Jacquelyn from breakfast who in their execution of their roles, with smiles and professional friendly attitudes, reminded me why I have gone all in on Hilton properties!
Understanding that this property is dated, there needs to be updates made. The only place for dinner was the bar with a poor and limited menu. The gold/diamond executive lounge is reserved for aircrew only. The front desk was unfriendly and showed no appreciation or mention of my diamond status. Finally, the shuttle driver was about as rude, unfriendly, and unappreciative, as I've seen. I caught a ride to the airport where I was working for the day. He had other pax, and I had no baggage and offered him a single dollar bill to show some sort of appreciation to him as a service provider. He literally looked at it, huffed, and threw it on his console without a word. I ended up just walking back to the hotel after work because I didn't need his negativity. I had the same driver on my travel out. I had one small carry-on bag. But, I still offered him a $3 dollar tip - which I think is reasonable. Again, he looked at the money and huffed. He didn't thank me or say anything and just walked off. For a Hilton brand, this is NOT consistent with your mission statement. It sounds like management needs a team huddle to discuss CUSTOMER SERVICE and SATISFACTION. A smile and a thank you go a long way. My next stay at Hobby will NOT be at Doubletree. I'll probably give the Garden Inn a shot. Thank you! R, Chris Nicola
