This is a small shopping center with a great playground in the middle of it. The containers are the unique feature and function well for this small mall/food court kind of place. There's a stage at one end so they must do a lot of live events. We went mid-day for the kids. The kids loved the playground and the pile of huge Lego-type blocks near the stage. There were a couple of big bathrooms, which was really nice. The only downside was there wasn't much to eat that was kid friendly. We needed up having Mob's pizza, the godfather special, which was really kid friendly. The sauce was mild, but not bland. I recommend it for families. If you have kids, you can spend a few hours here, without kids, I can't see spending more than an hour, unless there's an event going on.
This is a fun little spot located on Fremont Street. Container Park is surrounded by shipping containers which house some pretty cool stores to buy food, drinks, clothing, hand bags, candy, souvenirs, and so much more. They also have pubs, bars, and other eateries in case you want to grab a bite or get some drinks outside food and drinks are not allowed in the park. If you stick around long enough, you can also watch the fire show of the Praying Mantis, which begins at 5:30pm or dusk, and happens every 30 minutes until 11pm. It’s pretty cool to watch the Praying Mantis bob it’s head to some hit music, while shooting out fire that can reach up to 6 stories tall. There is a children’s playground located in the middle of the park with some interactive activities to keep them entertained, however, keep in mind that children are not allowed in the park after 9pm, as you must be 21 and over to enter at that point. Definitely worth a visit if you’re coming down to Fremont Street
A great alternative to Fremont Street or the Strip. Lots of small shops, restaurants, bars, activities. Actually on Fremont Street further down from the light display. It is a nice walk to get there and along the way there are some really cool places to stop in. Once there, it is a really laid back and nice vibe with a bit of class. Who would have thought repurposing shipping containers into viable businesses centered in an entertainment district would become all the rage? It certainly is and well worth the trip to check out.
What a great venue! A mix of shops and restaurants with a decidedly Vegas vibe - unique in every way and just a fun place. You know your here when you see the Flaming Mantis out front and then the sign for the Downtown Container Park. The venue is built out of multiple shipping containers and features unique shops and restaurants. A playground and treehouse is the central feature and a lively stage sits at the back of the park. Tables and chairs ring the playground where they will deliver your food order. Definitely worth the visit day or night
A fun place to walk around eat some good food, shop, have a drink and listen to live music! A definite must go whether your a local or just visiting! Family friendly as well until 9pm when it becomes 21 and over.
We visited midweek and it was very quiet, but there's much more action at the weekends. If you want to see what creative, "out of the box" buildings look like, this is a good place to visit. The central area has plenty of space for children of all ages to play, including a fun treehouse as well as giant Lego, chess, etc. on an Astroturfed area. The shops and restaurants are a departure from the usual standard fare which is refreshing. By far our favorite thing was the fire-shooting mantis. It makes a great backdrop for photos, especially if you can time it to coincide with the fire display. Would not recommend on a weekday night.
I was curious to see what was here. It's a nice little area with various art gallery, food, and gift shops. There's a stage and I was lucky enough to catch a performance. If you are lucky enough to be greeted by the praying mantis out front, you will know.
Really nice eclectic shops with a lot of local artists products for sale. The praying mantis out front is awesome! Everyone should go see this Center and buy something from a local artist!
Underrated Vegas spot. Didn't know about this place until I did a bit of research and wanted to come see the praying mantis. Parking was right across the street and they had a unique art park right next to the mantis. Alot of art to see and definitely a photo op spot.
Really cute place to get away from the Fremont craziness. There are 3 story's of shops that have alot of cute stuff. There is a kids playground there in the middle so there are a few kids running around. But it is something to check out of you are in Fremont area.
