I have been going to this restaurant off and on for many years. I do understand the bad reviews here, as they did have a period where the quality was kind of sketchy. Still, it was an inexpensive and reliable lunch among friendly people. But lately, it seems their quality is getting better. I don't know if they have hired a new chef or what, but it is just... good... really good.
First time here and I love Chinese buffets. Not worth the $9 lunch buffet. Very limited selection. The sweet and sour chicken was cold and the rest of what I tried was so so. Won't be back. I'll spend the extra $ for good food.
Nasty employees nasty food this restaurant doesn't take pride in keeping their bar fresh. The waitress or cashier will never tell you thank you I've been there 3 occasions and it's the same thing every time. I will not be eating at this restaurant because is going to make somebody seriously ill. I ate one of the shrimp and it was sour the cold shrimp. DHEC needs to do a pop up on them because they oppose a serious health risk. If you have children I would seriously think about it before I take them to this restaurant.
I don't see how they have the 3.5 of a star. Unless they are better during the day. But my personal experience was not good at all. The food I had to choose from on the buffet looked as if it were sitting their for hours. The shrimp not the ones sitting on ice were under the light so long they had no mositure what so ever and we're crispy. I did ask for more and they made some but the rest of the buffet I'd have to say is the most pathetic buffet I have ever went to. I can't go back to this place. I'll make mashed potatoes at work first or have a pop tart or some cashews before I set foot back over there. It wasn't even my first choice but I have the place a chance because the on ei should have went too was crowded and was not a buffet. $11 in the trash because over half of the stuff I put on my plate I couldn't make myself eat once I did give everything a little taste. Lesson learned. Sn: do better.
The food was cold and hard like it has been sitting out ALL day. When we asked if we can get fresh food the ladies rolled their eyes said sure and walked off. They've been completely rude to us the entire time we have been here. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NO ONE. I did like them but something has changed to where they just don't care about their food nor customers. Especially since one of the ladies here brought her SICK child to work with her.
The food they serve is good and hot. They have a health rating of "B", but appeared to be prerty clean. They don't have much of a verity and some of the food didn't have the best taste. I would have probably given them a better review if it wasn't for the lack of options. Can't really ask for much more for under 7 bucks. Decent place, but I probably won't go back.
When I buy Chinese it's always here. Even drive 20 minutes each way. The food is always hot and tasty. HOWEVER, this evening I purchased the same thing I always do. Get home and find out they DRASTICALLY changed their portion size. So now I've got to figure out what I'm eating for supper, as my portion just isn't there and I don't want my kids and wife to go without.
Finally found a good Chinese buffet! Dinner is $8 $5 for kids. Food was good, none of the nasty, fatty meat you find at most Chinese buffets. Pepper chicken was pretty great, and the house special chicken was awesome.
This is a wonderful little Chinese buffet. It doesn't have tons of sushi and a habachi chef and all that crazy stuff.... But it has good food and is cheap! It's a small place and actually run by Chinese people. So if you are studying Chinese and want to practice, the employees always seem happy to chat a little in Chinese.
The food is not properly prepared. So much sugar and grease in everything! Also, the young Asian woman at the front counter has no manners and is very disrespectful towards the black customers. I witnessed her antics and will never go there again. It's a hole in the wall restaurant that will not be missed.
