Drake Family Farms

Amazing farm! Went there with the three little ones on a Saturday around 4 PM, and the kids had a blast petting some goats and cows. If you intend to go with children, have them dress in some older clothes as they will get dirty. Before you enter the farm, ask the employees as this is a working farm, and they might be in the middle of production. Maybe even call ahead. Farmer and staff were very friendly and inviting. They sell superb goat cheese flavors. The jalapeño flavor was my favorite. You can buy a variety pack to take home and enjoy with some bagels or bread for cheap. Also makes for a great little gift to grandma or grandpa! Going back here for sure for both the cheese and experience.

Picked up some cheese at the Riverside Farmers Market today and it is bomb! Paired it with fresh hummus we got from "another vendor", ahh delish!!

This is an incredible family farm. Dan Drake is a veterinarian who grew up on his family goat farm in Utah. After college, he moved to Riverside and started his own practice. He moved some goats to his dairy in Ontario. Dan gives tours monthly and it is a great family friendly expereince you get to feed the goats and eat the delicious goat cheeses. Drake's cheeses are featured in all kinds of great restaurants including Tender Greens and Mendocino Farms.

I went on a tour of this farm. Very cool place. You can tell they take pride in their operation, how they care for their animals, and the food they make.
