Great large bar. Ordered a beyond burger and a Smoke house burger. Both were very tasty and the side of onion rings were the best. Also their buffalo cauliflower was really nice. 1st time eating here and was sad to hear they're closing.
Your Classic college bar for Temple students, only topped in collegeness by Maxi's. Happy to say the food and service are actually pretty good here. I've been here for multiple events both public and private and have never been disappointed, just stick to basic things like burgers, wings, & Fries. If you can't figure out what to do during the week, definitely stop by for their White Girl Wednesday for a little hump day partying. Also always tons of Cheap drinks. I'll always stop by to catch up with friends or remember some college nights.
Helloooo. Yes I was here before a basketball exhibition... Just for a drink. The bar and tables were almost packed. I had a local beer. I believe it was an IPA. Service was ok. I had only a beer. There was not much interaction... It looks they do pretty well with temple university and the stadium around. Excellent for families too. Thanks a lot draught horse!!!
Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Reasonable prices! I didn't drink anything but hot tea! But I will definitely partake in libations on my next visit...
Great, chill place to grab some food and a beer. The bartenders are very nice. They always have some sports on. The food is always very good and comes out quick. Funnily enough their chicken noodle soup is my absolute favorite and I come here between classes just for a cup of it. Also a great place to study in quiet during the day, but it certainly gets social in the evenings. Good for Temple students and staff, and construction workers. Plus right next to the BSL line and Liacouras center. Only street parking though so do mindful that parking isn't a guarantee.
Talk about love in a bun! This burger is a perfect 10!
Decent place, friendly staff. Service was spotty, meaning waitress was attentive in beginning, but then kind of lost sight, wasn’t that busy so not sure what was going on. Food was good, not wowed. Enjoyed the sports bar/pub atmosphere, able to be loud and have fun. I’ll have to agree with some of the other posts, very heavy on salt for fries. Almost reminded me a bit like McDonalds fries- good but for me too much salt, I couldn’t finish them and I was craving fatty fries!! I’d try it again, beer was cold!!
Food and drinks were good, however the service here should be worked on. Whenever I come here the waiter/waitress will take our order, give us drinks, and then leave for 45 minutes, only to then return with the check. Didn't ask if we wanted more drinks, water, or if we needed anything. The place was empty, and the waitresses seemed to be more interested in conversations with each other rather than the people they were "serving. Hopefully this improves in the future.
The food was filling, but the fries were way, way too salty, and the cheese steak was honestly a bit bland. However, this is ultimately a bar. In that respect, they're great. A very wide selection of beers, and what I had tasted great. All the people who I was out with were similarly satisfied with their drinks.
This was our first time at the Draught Horse; it's pronounced draft. Our daughter, a senior at Temple University, where it's located has worked there for a little over a year. Getting there to see her at work was a bucket-list item for us and with it being her senior year time was getting short. We parked at the Liacouras Center, but there's a closer cheaper lot across the street as well as on street metered parking if you can find it. As for the food, it's good. We had boneless wings to start. I had a burger which was fresh and tasty more so than the usual you get at your typical restaurant. The wife had the Garlic Broccoli flat bread which she loved. In terms of the beer selection it's pretty vast as you would expect by the name. On top of that, Ozzie the manager came out to greet us knowing we were there. Highly recommend!
