I have been experiencing dizziness and vertigo on and off for the past three months after suffering multiple concusions, and was referred to Dr. Drazin by my PCP clinic. I would not recommend anyone to see Dr. Drazin. He is not approachable whatsoever and does not seem to care to actually listen to what's going on with me the patient and seems to want to just rush out of the appointment, leading me to feel very unimportant and not worth listening to. Patience, kindness, approachability, and the willingness to listen are things that I look for in a doctor, and Dr. Drazin, in my experience, does NOT exude these characteristics, as I find him extremely rude, unapproachable and unhelpful.
I was referred to him by my pcp for my concussion after every test showed I was fine but I was not improving. I didn’t realize my lasting symptom was vertigo as I had never had that before. He just told me to rest and give it time. My boyfriend had read that physical therapy can help with vertigo, so I asked his opinion and he said that it could actually make it worse and I just needed to rest as much as possible. I had about half a dozen other questions that visit and every time he answered one, he kept trying to leave. I felt very rushed and unimportant. After over 2 months of barely being able to walk or shower and now in the worst shape of my life from basically being bed ridden for over 3 months per doctors orders, I took it upon myself to get a referral for physical therapy. At my consultation, my physical therapist said that resting is actually the worst thing for vertigo. After less than 2 weeks and only 5 PT sessions, I am finally improving! I don’t understand how a neurologist wouldn’t know that resting is the worst thing to do for vertigo. He has set me back months and I have been unable to work this whole time, have missed out on numerous events and have been relying on others to fully support me financially. Maybe he’s knowledgeable in other areas based on some reviews, but if you have vertigo or a concussion, go to someone else!
Of course I checked out the reviews before I came to my visit. So already I thought..let’s do this and make it fast! Dr Drazin was fun to chat with! Made my entire visit relaxing and comfortable. He was thorough, quick, and informative. His staff was friendly and made my first time at the office an overall great experience. Mahalo!
Dr. Drazin was so kind and thorough. He made me feel comfortable and assured. His office staff is EXCEPTIONAL - fast, friendly, and understanding. Great overall experience.
Horrible experience. Dr. Drazin was EXTREMELY rude and belittling. Although billing had been preapproved with his office through my workplace, he then refused to service me unless I paid him cash "so he could make some money". He didn't listen and had ZERO compassion. I hope that nobody has the misfortune of having to go to this doctor. If he was on the mainland he'd be out of business.
I was diagnosed with possible damage to my C5 to C7. I was experiencing pain and numbness in my left arm. I was abit crazed. Dr Drazin’s manner completely calmed me down and he was real to me and told me I needed to rest for about 3 months and not strain my self and everything will heal. I was skeptical but as Dr. Drazin said in three months I got back complete use of my arm and without surgery!! Mahalos Dr. Drazin!!!
The best darn Neurologist on Oahu! He's a real person and has incredible diagnostic skills. Great bedside manner.
