Dress for Success Western Massachusetts

I went to my first D. For. S. event today and wow!! What a great experience!! No one was followed around, the ladies there were amazing! They were so encouraging to go ahead and pack as much in a bag that you can. They even rolled up each thing tightly and fit an incredible amount of items in one bag! It was exciting and set up like a regular store. Stylishly set up and just fantastic!

It’s a nice idea, and I get that it’s free... but wow this place is terrible! You are not allowed to pick out your own clothes. For some reason the woman who runs it makes you wait until she is free and then picks out clothes for you. You are allowed zero input or control over what you try on. I am under 30 and a size 10-12. She would only allow me to wear hidius 90’s pants suits that were a size 16! And then said that was still too tight! I told her I thought I looked frumpy and she said “how so?” Like hello I’m wearing a circus tent here! If I had showed up to any interview wearing that I wouldn’t have blamed them for not even letting me in the door.
