Drift Spa is my favorite in Las Vegas. I’ve been to about 6 higher end spas and to this one about 10 times and I’ve never had a bad experience. The massages and facials are great. I’m especially in love with the Hammam. It’s the perfect temperature for me. I’ve recently started using hot/cold pools too and the one here is very nice. There is complimentary juice, tea, coffee, water bottles. And granola and a fruit free as well. You can stay the entire day of your booking which includes the Palms Place Pool and gym. The showers are SO clean with all amenities provided. Like I said... this one is my favorite.
Frankly the best Hammam day spa experience in the USA. It is a jewel with a fabulous traditionally domed Hammam room complete with a mega large marble slab that enables clients to relax in the perfectly steamed room while gazing at the star lit dome. It features classic spa amenities including a large format jacuzzi pool with strong massage jets, a cold plunge pool and a chillax room. Can anyone at The Palms tell me when you intend on re-opening so I can plan a visit asap?
Such a relaxing experience! Went with my fiance and we went our separate ways into the designated spaces. There's the men's side and the women's side. Each side has the wet area jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, a little snack area with TV's to relax, and showers. There's an area that my fiance and I met at which is a sort of steam room and it was really relaxing. They provide deororant, lotion, pretty much anything you ask for. This was our first time in a spa together and we enjoyed it and needed it.
I'm a local and enjoy coming to this spa partially because I don't have to deal with the Strip and parking is free. However, I mainly come here because the treatments have been consistently good, facilities are always clean and all the employees are attentive. With a local discount, I consider Drift Spa to be a good value. I took off a star because as another reviewer mentioned, the waiting area is need of an update and it is a bit small. It would be nice if they had a larger space for friends to relax and chat together between treatments and order small plates and drinks like some other Vegas spas allow.
Did the groupon special for 50 min Swedish massage and facial. First of all, it was hard to find going through hotel lobby. Next, the 50 min soft massage with very little pressure at all was more like 30 counting the halls and steps and all the getting ready my masseuse had to do. I added aroma therapy for $20 and hair massage and treatment for $20 and we were out of the door under 50 mins... very disappointing. Now for a facial. Will not be back because they also didn’t say their steams rooms were broken and no pool accessories. Wth??? And all that and they make you tip first. I’m upset because I came with my husband for a mini honeymoon and this was not a good part. Not happy. Just finished facial with Ashley and she made it all better! Thanks Ashley! She went the FULL time and her intention to make me have a pleasant experience showed. Wished the massage left me feeling as happy. So word of caution... before you book ask if everything is available and working and ask for a massage expert who will give you a good experience... not a short and not so sweet one. Palms... won’t be back for your spa... will try another one next time.
Loved the spa and the coed steam room. Somewhat disappointed in the men’s spa attendant. The facilities had shaving cream and aftershave balm but I could not find any disposable razors. I wondered around for about 10 minutes hoping to see the attendant but he was nowhere to be found. I heard him talking behind a closed door but never came out. Finally gave up and showered and left without shaving. Massage was great.
First time at Drift, and I went in via a Groupon for $99, which included a 50 minute massage and access to the facility. I made my appointment the evening before, with a gentleman named Shane or Shaun. He rattled off the terms and policies so fast, but was very polite. The spa director graciously allowed me to reschedule the same day, which I greatly appreciated. Upon checking in, you are automatically charged a $28 gratuity fee, which I was NOT told about on the phone when making my appointment. NOT cool. appointment. To top it all off, apparently they forgot to use my Groupon code, so I basically paid for it twice, which I didn't realize until I returned home. Again, NOT very sharp business practices. I probably should have paid more attention, I know, but I was tired and just looking forward to my massage. The facility is beautiful. The robe and sandals were very comfortable. The only robe size seems to be L, and you are not asked which size you'd like, as they are already in the lockers, which have a digital code to lock and unlock, so no keys. I could have used an XL to be honest. The facility is gender specific, excluding the outdoor pool and the Hammam. The Quiet Room had well appointed, comfy furniture, and many magazines. There were fresh pineapple and cranberry juices, as well as coffee and pre-made hot tea, and water. Fresh apples were in a bowl, and there was granola available to snack on. I was really looking forward to relaxing in the steam room, but it was out of order, and I wish I'd been told so, and I probably would have skipped the appointment altogether. The Hammam, a very large co-ed room, has a much lower temp of steam infused with Eucalyptus, which was very nice. The sauna was very nice, as well as the hot jacuzzi and cold ice pool VERY cold!. The hot jacuzzi had areas of slipperiness on the concrete lip that you'd normally grab onto with your hands; I din't know if it's mold, mildew or what, but definitely gross. I went outside to use the pool, and honestly it wasn't anything special. VERY overpriced cabanas as well as the cocktails. The bathroom amenities were very nice, including deodorant, body lotion, hair spray, and gel. Hair dryers were also available, but no combs or brushes to be found, which I thought was odd. The massage itself: upon entering my therapist John very friendly, btw advised me it was "light to medium pressure," and any other level I could choose from on a small menu of services. Deep tissue was an extra $30, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. I opted for the light to medium pressure, which I could barely feel at all. I did not feel more relaxed than before I had arrived. Basically this amount of pressure was akin to someone rubbing lotion on you, and that's it. Seriously. I can see why the need Groupon to help them out, with the weak sauce massage and $28 up front gratuity fee.
This is an absolutely beautiful spa. I wish I'd had the whole day there to enjoy the swimming pool and the gym, but the spa amenities and treatments were 5 stars for sure. I love spas that have areas for my fiancé and I to relax together, and the large hammam steam room with twinkling soft light and showers was so delightful. Afterward I got to relax on the women's side and enjoy the sauna, hot tub, and lovely cold plunge. I was already relaxed and blissed out before I even got picked up for my massage and facial. The massage was from John from Chicago who has 20 years experience as a massage therapist and it shows. I came to him a mess of knots and issues and he did deep target work and I immediately felt better, and had no soreness the next day. He seriously works miracles! Renee did my facial and she was so sweet and gave a great treatment. My fiancé had Veronica and he said it was the best massage he's ever had and he's had many! I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this spa.
Me and my boyfriend got swedish massages and a facial and they were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a very nice relaxing lounge, a hot and cold spa, a sauna a steam room and a co-ed hammam.
Had a massage and enjoyed the other amenities that are included as a guest at the Palms Hotel and Casino. I am planning a girls spa day and lunch for my birthday followed by dinner at my favorite restaurant in town and a show and a night in a premium room with my husband a d a couples massage the next day! You only turn 39 again once a year, so why not really celebrate?
