I refuse to give this Duane reade anything less than 5 stars because of how hard the staff and pharmacists work. The service is constantly delayed but it’s because this location is always so short staffed for some reason. There’s a pharmacist who literally does it all - manages staff, administers vaccines, reviews prescriptions, and rings up customers. Give her and everyone else at this store a raise because they deserve it especially when angry and impatient customers make their jobs more challenging.
I had an amazing experience today at this location’s pharmacy. I was attended by MARY P. If I can give 100 stars to her, it will not be enough!!! She went out of the way to check why I was being charged for my prescription, even though I had insurance. She did it all with a smile on her face. Best ever customer support I have ever got till date by her!! She literally was an angel to me!! Thank you Mary!!
DON’T COME HERE. The first as well as the last time I’m coming here. I understand that this store is understaffed, so a long waiting time is fine. But the staff ignored my questions and got outside to take a picture with some random guy in the store who she thinks is “can’t be this tall”. Unbelievable unprofessional staff and rude customer service. A lot of customers witnessed this happening.
The pharmacists are smart and helpful. There is usually a long line for service but the staff does their best to keep things moving.
Should probably just give as many negative as possible. The worst service ever and a shame about it as it so called a pharmacy. No one cares if you are there to pick up a prescription they do what they gotta do and only one or two reps would help checkout/pickup and that to too SLOW. SHAMEFUL!
Not a good service at all! Waited for 45 mins for just picking up. Went 2 times there and staff told me to come back the next day coz prescription was not ready.
Met the manager when I had a problem, Denise. Absolutely terrible, rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate. I can't believe they have someone so rude working here with customers.
Zero stars for Walgreens and Duane Reade customer service. To anyone thinking about using same delivery - DON'T! Store switched my order from same day to next day. So I needed to cancel order and that's where it all went down hill. If you like waiting on hold, being disconnected and having to call back, finally get through only to be hung up on, calling Walgreens and speaking to corporate drones programed to say, "sorry we can't cancel your order cause you have to do it through the store," like a dystopian loop this went on for hours. Not fun, not professional and certainly not customer focused With so many companies vying for business and who make CS a priority, Walgreens will never ever get another second of my time or another dime from me. And every consumer should think twice before spending $$$ with this second rate company.
I’m writing this review for the pharmacy with the knowledge as a former pharmacy technician and as a woman. My trip to the pharmacy today was handled poorly in every possible way. I came to this pharmacy a few days prior to pick up my prescription, however, my doctor sent it to a different Walgreens not the pharmacy’s fault. It was for my birth control prescription. I had a few pills left at home, so they said they would get the prescription transferred over and it’d be a half an hour wait. I opted to come back another day instead of waiting since I couldn’t. I also worked the next few days, so I knew it was going to be an inconvenience coming back. I came back a few days later rushing over from work after spending a ridiculous amount on an Uber just to make it there exactly at 9-their closing time. I thought, “thank god, I made it”. I took my last pill the previous night, so I needed my birth control. They got my prescription and proceeded to ring out me out on the register, but I noticed the bag looked funny, so I said that’s so and so brand correct? The pharmacist said no, it’s this brand, another generic. As a former pharmacy tech, I know when brands are out of stock, they sub any generic “equivalent”. I write equivalent in quotes because honestly it is not 100% the same thing. Same drug yes, but differences none the less. I vowed to never take another generic of my brand that I take due to a bad experience in the past. My entire cycle was changed, and my hormones were all types of messed up off of the same “drug equivalent”. So I told the pharmacist I cannot take another generic, and if they had my brand in stock. They did not. They gave me the option to have the birth control I needed in by Monday. It was Friday night. 3-4 days without birth control? I thought are you going to pay for the future baby that may result from this nonsense? Ha. I contemplated my options, but the reason I’m writing this review is to say as a woman, I felt like the male pharmacist had no compassion. He just stared at me, and said, “do you want it or not?” No apologies because as a man, I’m sure he did not understand why I couldn’t take this generic. As a former pharmacy tech, I write this review to say they did not do their job to inform me of other options. Luckily, I know I can call another pharmacy and have the prescription transferred the following day, but they just said, “Monday”. Overall, I felt misunderstood, rushed, and looked over. Women will know what I mean. Next time it would be best to inform someone of all the options, including getting the prescription elsewhere, and also a little compassion wouldn’t have hurt.
I do not appreciate the customer service.I purchase 5 items and was charged twice for the Walgreens pads. When I told the cashier he immediately was defensive and said he did not charge me twice even though it was noted on my receipt. It did not seem like he knew how to read a receipt. I explained that I was over charged three different ways and the cashier still did not understand but asked if I was hiding an item in my purse and said that is why he charged me for 6 items. He even counted the prices on the receipt. But could not explain to me why I was charged $3.24. Once, I spoke to the next cashier who confirmed I was charged twice for an item. He thought it was necessary to mention the pads are buy one, get one half off, in which I knew because I read the signage under the product when I picked it up. No one apologized for the inconvenience and I think that is ridiculous. Never buying from this location again.
