Dubin Breast Center - Mount Sinai

So very disappointed, I have been coming here every year for several years.Dr Port provided excellent care to my mother many years ago. Coming here for annual mammograms has made the experience easier. Today i called to schedule my annual mammogram and sonogram and was told I could not schedule my appointment because my physician needs to provide a script before an appt can be given. This is not what is stated on the mt sinai website. It says to have your doctor place an order prior to your actual appointment or bring a copy with you the day of your visit like i have year after year. There is nothing written on the website that states you cannot even make an appointment! Why have women go through this simply to just set an appointment! I will need to call doctor ask him to send a script over then keep calling back and forth to make sure its there???? Terrible!!!

Horrific service and management. I had an annual mammogram and ultrasound scheduled per my pcp’s referral for months. I traveled over 3 hours to get there from Albany where I was working that week as I wanted to keep my appt because I was leaving the country the following week for work for several months. I casually mentioned while they were getting me ready for my mammo that last year they had me do a diagnostic screening that came out benign. All of this is in the records they received for my appt mind you. The technician stopped everything and said they couldn’t give me my Mammo or ultrasound and that I would have to come back and schedule a diagnostic instead per their protocol. They then kept me waiting an hour for a manager to “speak to me” — she finally came to speak to me and said “sorry we made a mistake we scheduled you for wrong thing. We can get you on the schedule next week.” I can’t do “next week” and I paid for my travel and took the day off work. There was Zero remorse. Zero compassion. Just incompetence and disrespect for my time and energy and work and finances and health. I now am unable to get my annual mammo. Thank you Dubin Breast Center for putting my health in Danger by screwing up “scheduling” and instead of doing your jobs properly or finding a way to fix it and help me, you cost me my time, severe stress, and money and the only chance I had at a Mammo. After I left, they then rescheduled me for a day the next week that I said I couldnt do. Just Adding more insult to injury and more labor for me to do and correct. This kind of incompetent approach to preventative screenings is dangerous to Women’s health. And they’ve definitely put my health in jeopardy because now I won’t get screenings for another six months. I feel powerless at the multi-layered effect of their mistake. And good luck getting them on the phone—scheduling takes an hour of hold time and multiple call backs. Health care is circling the drain.

Dubin Breast Center provides exemplary care. If you use the My Sinai Chart and are honest , forthright communication with Dr snd staff , they respond immediately . Professional and empathetic. Dr Fasano, Dr Port and Radiology Dept Dr Greene . Also the nurses are on top of their assignments and are respectful as well as proficient. I recommend Dubin Breast Center to anyone who has cancer. I am 6 years cancer free .

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Dubin Breast Center and the treatment and care I have received. I initially went there 13 years ago with a very scary diagnosis and have gone there annually for my check-ups ever since. It is so important to find a team of doctors that you trust wholeheartedly so the patient can just focus on getting better without questioning every detail of the treatment. Dr. Port is simply the best, a brilliant surgeon and compassionate doctor who saved my life all those years ago. The minute I met Dr. Port I knew I was going to be just fine. Dr. Margolies is a wonderful radiologist, I also trust her implicitly. The entire support staff have always been helpful and informative. The Dubin Breast Center deserves 10 stars!

Made me wait two hours only to tell me that they could not follow through with the sonogram because they did not have previous imaging, etc. I had scheduled this appointment MONTHs in advance. No one had told me that I needed to bring previous CDs.

I am so grateful to the Dubin Breast Center for the top notch care I was given during the scariest time of my life. I have to specifically thank Dr Port for her incredible expertise. She spent so much time explaining my options for surgery and exactly what I should expect going forward. Her bed side manner put me at ease and helped me tremendously. She is incredibly dedicated and just a wonderful person to deal with when going through a breast cancer diagnosis. I also want to thank Dr Green for her thoroughness and compassion. Her entire team were so thoughtful and professional throughout my radiation treatment. Dr Green also spent time with me and made me feel at ease. She was so kind. Dr Tiersten fortunately did not have to work with me as much but she was very receptive and explained what I had to do going forward in a courteous way. I would recommend the Dubin Breast Center to anyone in need of their services. I cannot say enough about them.

I made an appointment for 2:15pm. I got here at 1:50pm. They didn't process my paper until 2:04pm. I stood in the waiting area for an hour in a half. I was called almost at 4pm. I feel it has to do with my insurance. I was working for union before and so I am no longer working with them now. I have health first now. Very disappointed!!!

Dubin Breast Center's doctors, nurses, and staff have been an incredible source of strength through my wife's breast cancer treatment and post-cancer care. Not only did they cure her, they've been there for her as she's worked to recover, both with new treatment strategies and emotionally. I don't know how we would have gotten through this without the wonderful people at Dubin.

Very grateful for the kindness and excellent care I have received from the doctors, nurses and team at the Dubin Breast Center.

Initial experience in August 2021 was phenomenal. The receptionist, nurse and doctor were very attentive. There was a massage therapist in the waiting room offering massages which I found to be very calming while I anxiously waited. However, for my follow up appointment this morning was a different experience. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, and I am greeted by the receptionist by the entrance basically scolding me that I should have arrived 30 minutes before for so that I am ready to go by the appointment time. The radiology technician was a delight, she was patient, quick and efficient. Towards the end, I was expecting to speak to the doctor to review/ ask questions about findings. I was giving the results by the technician and was told everything was okay. I am GLAD my results were normal, but I would have appreciated a moment of Dr. Laurie Margolies' time to address my concerns. Looking forward to my six month follow up. :
