Dueling Oak

The tree is awesome! So beautiful. What can make this experience is to add a bench under the tree to admire the tree while resting the feet.

It is what it says it is. Interesting historical landmark. However, it is still just a tree.

It's peaceful to walk around here. Such scenic area.

Beautiful tree and a gorgeous Park, however probably want to avoid during the months of June, July and August. New Orleans can be very hot and muggy during the summer

Rumor has it that this was the spot to settle issues back in the day, hence the name. Someone had a beef with someone, they would come have a duel here. Today, it is great for a picnic or to sit for a minute while walking around City Park enjoying all it has to offer. Close to the statue garden, the museum and the big lake, this is perfect.

This quiet section of City Park offers a comfortable and shady walking area. Close by are scenic Bridges. Boat rentals are available.

I love City Park in New Orleans. The Duelling Oak is one of my favorite places in city park. I love the history!

Very pretty tree. Great for family picnics and kids to climb. Also great for taking photos!
