Duerden's Appliance & Mattress

Drove in to Bountiful after having a poor experience with another local big name dealer. Walked in and there were about 5-6 employees. Most on the phones, one salesman with a customer already. Waited in the main area for a bit and then walked to the fridges in back. Looked around, then came back to the front area and waited for someone to be available. As people hung up the phones they immediately started doing other stuff and nobody wanted to even acknowledge my existence. I sat down at the stools at the bar and waited until someone decided they weren't too busy to recognize the customer sitting right in front of them. 15 minutes later, I left without anyone wanting to even welcome me to the store. Not one person said a word to me while I was there. Very poor experience. I left and ordered a fridge online through another retailer. Too bad I couldn't have had a positive experience with them as our new appliance store.

Steve, listened to me and found me the perfect appliances for my needs. Most other places I went wanted to sell me what they had in stock, not what I was asking for. Drew, and Jeremy, that were sent for the installation, were professional, polite, thorough and on time. They took the extra effort to make sure the plants as were in top working order before they left my home.

On a whim, I decided to try out Duerden’s for the purchase of my new Speed Queen instead of a larger appliance chain and I have been so impressed! I was contacted personally within less than 24 hours for a delivery appointment and offered a spot for the following day. Talk about speedy! The delivery guys were awesome, and Todd has been very communicative and prompt. I will definitely be recommending them in the future.

I always appreciate the staff at Darden’s. The Cell staff is knowledgeable, professional, and always seem to go a little bit above my expectations. With this particular visit I purchased a dishwasher, Jordan did the install. He was wonderful! He was on time, courteous, informative, and made sure everything was completed as expected before leaving.

We purchased all appliances for a complete kitchen remodel! It was a tremendous experience from start to finish. The knowledgable and professional consultative salesmanship by Steve was very helpful. The tremendous sales experience was only exceeded by the installation perfectionism demonstrated by Sammy and Drew! We also had great support from the management team, Dale and others. Highly recommend for all of your appliance and Mattress Needs. We’ve know the Duerden’s for over 3 decades. Their honesty and integrity is well respected, revered and honored by the current owners. They can be proud of the continuation of their legacy.

I would like to express my appreciation to Mr. Steven at Duerden's for his exceptional service. It was a pleasure to work with him, as he was professional, knowledgeable, and timely in his communication. I received excellent advice from him and he went above and beyond to assist me with my appliance needs. In my opinion, it is refreshing to have a salesperson who is so knowledgeable and willing to assist customers. It is highly recommended that you visit this location.

My experience with this company was not very pleasant. After they installed my dishwasher, I noticed that there was some damage to the toe-kick under my cabinets next to the dishwasher. After bringing this up to them, they claimed it was like that before they came to install it. They told me I did the damage myself, even though I know for a fact that I didn’t. They could have handled this in a much more professional manner but have refused to acknowledge their wrongdoings. I am attaching the photos of before and after their installation job.

Thanks to Duerden's for helping us with the kitchen remodel we were doing. This post is a little belated but this happened about a year ago where some of the appliances were on back order and not readily available. Duerden's guaranteed the original price and informed us about the cost savings available when buying in bulk. Over all, a positive buying experience.

The online experience is terrible. Once you make an order, you do get an email, however there is NO way to look online to track or otherwise get any information about the order. I followed through with the order hoping that it would give me some ETA on delivery, as all the others do, however that was non-existent. Then I tried to use their "Chat" which is not really a chat, but a forward of information to then have some text you. 2 hours later, someone texted, vague at best and said they would look. Silence again. I finally called, super puzzled and asked for the information. Guess what, no information available. Then they tell me someone will get in touch with me. So, I have to wait for someone to contact me to even tell me if the appliance is available! I voice my concern and the woman taking the call says they will call me back with that information. I said, "When?". She said 15 minutes. Now first of all, if they are so outdated that they can't look in the system to get this information, something is wrong in this day and age. So, time passes, no calls. I call back, and have to continue to do so for 10 times to get someone to speak to. At that point, I canceled the order. My gut tells me if they are that slow in processing an order, and can't tell me if they have any or anything pertaining the order, then the remainder of the experience probably wont be any better. Canceled and will begrudgingly go back to the other willy group... ugh.

I bought my appliances in February 2022. Contacted store in August - they reported everything in, but double ovens. Called in September and asked if double ovens were in. Store reported that everything but fridge was in. What happened to my fridge? Store reported, back - just kidding your fridge is here. Delivery day in October, no fridge. Where is my fridge?! Install tech - "manager says it hasn't been built yet". Later that day, "surprise your fridge just came in." I also purchased a "paneled" dishwasher. Delivery day, "we don't install the panels. And your electrical isn't done so we will have to come back..... in 10 days" Two guys come out 10 days later and partially install dishwasher. They can't finish until panel is put on. I requested specific installer and they sent a guy who has never done a panel install -10 days later. Installer reads install directions, but still doesn't fully install it and after he leaves the door flings shut and panel flies off and breaks. Dishwasher was also installed crooked. I've called 3 times since last week. I finally just got a phone call back and I am scheduled to have a supervisor come out and fix install at the end of this week another 10 days since incident. Everyone is always so nice, but communication among departments is lacking. Delivery, install, and communication should not be this hard.
