My husband and I just returned from a lovely weekend at the DuPont where we stayed in the Carnegie Suite. It was truly beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire home. Christopher was so informative and kind. We had great conversations together about the home, the area, dining options and the garden. We definitely will stay again should we return to the area. Oh…and breakfast was delicious!
We had an excellent time staying at the DuPont Mansion! Christopher, the innkeeper, was exceptional. Like staying with a good friend. He is very knowledgeable about the city, history and things to do. Breakfast and the accommodations were wonderful. We stayed in the DuPont suite and the room was the perfect size of a long weekend. It didn’t bother us and I’m a light sleeper but the room does face the street so there is occasional street noise so just something to note when you pick a room!
In old town. Restaurant selection close by is limited. Ate @ Bucks for second time there, great food $$$ and was within 2 blocks. Inn keeper very knowledgeable about area and history of the city and the Duponts. Great breakfast. All rooms on second floor with only stairs. Great residence!Rooms: 5/5
The DuPont Mansion definitely did not disappoint my husband and I. We parked right out front and were immediately greeted at the door by Christopher, the innkeeper. He gave us a tour of the beautiful mansion, thankfully still all decked out for Christmas. It was absolutely beautiful!!! We had an amazing night, and an even better breakfast. Christopher cooked us his “not so downtown abbey” pancakes that were to die for, and we had delicious coffee and juice while we watched the squirrels play through the window. Amazing!!!
Christopher was fantastic! Gracious hosts, comfortable and clean rooms, historic atmosphere. Some of the nicest people we have encountered on any trip; they offered suggestions, help, and consistently went out of the way to make us comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Louisville. Thanks y'all!
What a find! Historic, cozy yet elegant, inside and out. Nice shared spaces on the ground floor and outdoors as well. Great location in historic neighborhood and next to a park. Breakfast was creative and tasty each morning served with Chris’s great conversation. Just the weekend atmosphere I was looking for. Thank you and will return!
We LOVED staying here for our 6th anniversary! Chris, the innkeeper, was the IDEAL host for this historical bed and breakfast. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and seeing Old Louisville was amazing! We will absolutely be returning and suggesting this place any chance we get.Rooms: 5/5
Everything about our stay was top notch. The home itself is charming and welcoming. It is very cared for. The innkeeper Chris is beyond great. Breakfast was delicious both days. It was our first time at a bed and breakfast, and it couldn’t have been any better.Rooms: 5/5
Can’t say enough about this place, it’s beautiful, perfectly restored and feels like you’re going back in time. Christopher is the perfect host, and will go above and beyond for you, anticipating whatever you need. Great location, we walked everywhere. What a great example of Louisville hospitality!Rooms: 5/5
Upon arrival, we were greeted joyfully and courteously. The custodian/innkeeper was very helpful and welcoming us and giving us some tips on where to eat and what to say. Ceiling to floor the decor and amenities are laudable. I will gladly stay here again! They even brought us breakfast in bed at the exact time that we requested. How wonderful!
