Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

We come here annually between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the best displays in NYC. Block after block is decorated. For the mansions they go all out and hire professional decorators. Go weeknights early to avoid the crowds. Best to park somewhere, if you drive there, and then explore. This year, less is decorated and the crowds are much smaller.

The lights are magnificent! Go if you can. It's a fun and free way spend time with family and friends. I suggest walking vs driving so you can get the full experience.

WHERE? — per TimeOut NY “Walk from 11th to 13th Avenues also known as Dyker Heights Blvd from 83rd to 86th St.” We found the best lights this year on 83th to 85th street, between 10th & 11th avenue. Just spectacular lights and FREE. You can either drive through or better yet, streetside park and walk through. So many cars- better to find parking and do the walk to see these lights up close. Do it at least once in your life. You will be so glad you did!!!

Great atmosphere, and wonderful to see families out enjoying the Christmas season! It's amazing to see not only the stellar light displays, but just how many homes get in the spirit! Start on 84th and 11th, and snake your way down each street to the low 70's, between 11th and 14th.

Last year I had spent 3 hours walking around this neighborhood so that this year was different we drive-thru all over awesome houses in 1 hour.

We loved the beautiful, colorful light displays. Many blocks, 84th St, 83rd st 10th to 12th Avenue. Thank you to those who go way out of their way to decorate.

Amazing Christmas decorations. We didn’t pay for a tour, we took the train and bus to the neighborhood.

Dyer Heights was like Christmas wonder land wow it was amazing, enjoyed the beautiful sights n decorated houses. Thank you very much for making this happen
