D-Zone skydiving came to Cody WY for an air show. I immediately made reservations to skydive. When we arrived we were told that they were 2 hours behind. Annoying yes, but we were told in the policy that this might happen for whatever reason so we paid the rest of our money and were told to come back in 2 hours. 2 hours later we returned and were told to come back in another 1. 5 hours. At this point I had the feeling that people without reservations were going before us as the man had causally mentioned earlier “hardly anyone had made reservations.” So as we entered the airport for the third time, I noticed that the entire crew of D-Zone skydiving had left. That’s right, just gone…with my $288. No phone call. No message at the desk. Nothing. I immediately called their business phone. The girl I spoke to seemed nice enough but never once offered an apology or an explanation. She seemed very eager to let me know that the situation wasn’t her fault. Which was obvious to me from the beginning as I let her know I wasn’t angry with her. She told me that she would call the guy and get back to me. I heard nothing. So at this point not only was my Saturday wasted, I spent that evening and Sunday trying to contact D-Zone. I called back. Apparently the D-Zone employee had no service as he was driving home to Jackson with the money that I paid for a service that they did not provide. I was told that she emailed him the problem and that he would get back to me. Obviously, no one called me. I think over the next week I called 6 or 7 times. Never once was I told, “sorry that this happened.” Never once was I directed to anyone in charge. I was even put on hold while the girl spoke with her supervisor, I’m assuming the same supervisor that was emailed the problem and did not contact me. After about a week of my phone calls and with my money being gone with no explanation, refund or apology, I finally spoke with a gentleman who told me my check and deposit refund would find me soon. The deposit refund took another few days, and the check was about the same. In the package with the check came my explanation: A Post-it note that said, “Sorry Bud, the weather turned bad so we took off.” I don’t think it would have ruined their day to call me and let me know that they would have to leave and that my refund would be on the way before they skipped town. I spoke with my friends at Choice Aviation in Cody. Needless to say they were unimpressed as was anyone else in town that would listen.

These guys are great! We had an awesome time! This was our first experience skydiving and initially we did have trouble getting a hold of anyone on the phone since we had a few questions about age requirements, cancellation policy etc since the website doesn't provide those details; however, once I left a message I got a call back immediately. Four of us jumped with DZONE this September when they worked out of the Progreba Field at the Three Forks MT airport. We reserved a 1:30 slot online and showed up about 15 minutes early. We filled out the paperwork (which is crazy long) and got weighed in, and set up with who we were jumping with. They could take us up two at a time and our first group jumped around 230 & the second group around 330. It was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend jumping with DZONE! Our jumping buddies were awesome, full of laughs (shout out to Adam who humored us with fun tales about Lewis and Clark and Sacagawea). -- For planning purposes it would have been nice to know that it could take an hour or two to get us up in the air, and like I mentioned above the website could use some more details for inquiring minds. All in all - a great experience!
