Eastern Academy of Mixed Martial Arts

I joined Eastern Academy about a half a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far. Coach Wahsei is very dedicated to his craft not only training many students on a weekly basis but also constantly going to seminars/conventions to keep up to date and continue his training himself. He offers a safe, clean, competitive, and fun environment for everyone that attends his gym. They are also the most affordable gym around by far when I was looking around. Between the amount of classes and undivided attention he gives to his students, no one can beat their price. I look forward to every week of training as I know I will continue to get better. It has provided me with confidence in myself and also to know that I have a baseline understanding on how to defend myself if I were to need it. I’m very excited to see what the future holds for me at this academy and would suggest it to anyone who has an interest in mma, likes a good workout, and drive to become one’s best self.

My son11 has been learning jiu jitsu for nearly a year now here and he loves it. It is physically & mentally demanding but he pushes himself more there than I've seen him in anything else. It has had the best impact on him. He's extremely proud of himself, more confident & respectful. He enjoys the other students & definitely looks up to the instructor whom I think is a great role model for the kids.

I have been training jiu jitsu at Eastern academy for about a month and half and from my experience it has been great! Everyone is very kind and eager to help you learn. We are all there to grow and become better. We push eachother and hold eachother accountable to become better. Wahsei the head instructor/ founder is truly one of the best. He takes his time to teach everyone and makes sure that everyone understands what we are learning and that no one is falling behind. You can tell when he’s teaching that this is not just a job for him. He is truly passionate about spreading the knowledge of this sport. He pushes us all to be better inside and outside the academy. If you want to learn jiu jitsu I 100% highly recommend coming to eastern academy.

I go to Eastern Academy because I want to become an MMA fighter. The instructor Wahsei is incredibly knowledgeable. I can tell that he truly loves martial arts, and he's enthusiastic about teaching his students. This place is the real deal.

Eastern academy of MMA is fantastic place to train. All of the knowledge and professionalism of the staff helps deliver a top tier place to train MMA. All of the people who attend are extremely kind and safe. I am new to the sport however coming in, and participating gives me a new hobby that mixes hard work and fun. Eastern academy of MMA is awesome for someone looking to train regardless of experience.

My son has learned so many valuable life lessons coming here. We are extremely grateful to Wahsei for his support, guidance, and positive motivation that helps our son succeed in all areas of life. Highly recommend for kids with a lot of energy. Very good outlet for them.

Just started a month ago in FMA/JKD was a little nervous to start but I'm glad I did the class is really enjoyable and instructor Wahsei is very passionate about martial arts and is a really good teacher

My son has attended Eastern Academy of Mixed Martial Arts for the past 3 years and loves it! He just recently moved from the kids to the adult class. He is continuously pushed towards improvement in every way!

I love how the instructor interacts with each child. He spends so much time with them. That they are his children to. He has gone out of his way for some of the kids who were in need. He's easy to approach with anything. My grandson goes 5 days a week and loves it! It's so worth it!!!

Just called to ask about classes for my 5 year old daughter. After the person on the phone asked if she’s had previous instruction she hasn’t they I said it would be $49 for an introduction class to see if she “fits in their program.” I was off put not only by the price of JUST ONE class which MIGHT allow them the chance to continue, but also the rudeness of the person on the phone. My child is seeking instruction. Why would she be judged on her ability to perform after one class? Basically you have to audition for a spot here. Which is too much for a 5 year f program. But based on what I heard in only 60 seconds I would never allow these people who already seem condescending and arrogant to instruct my daughter in any manner- but especially on manners.
