Just moved offices to midtown from the west side, and coworker found this gem. Duke is one of those huge Korean deli spots in midtown that has every type of food you can imagine. Sandwiches, hot food station, a nice Asian themed foods like poke bowls, udon, Ramen, bibimbop bowls, Thai, Ramen, you name it, they got it. My favorite is actually their salad. It's pricey though, especially the weighed food, it seems everything is more expensive now... used to be able to get lunch for 10 bucks, now it's around 14-16 at least.
For how expensive the place is, sometimes they skip on the minor details you look forward to in the morning. This isn’t the first time I’ve received a muffin like this. Hopefully my next one is better, this is a very small issue but still $4 for a muffin and it is prepared like this?
The food is surprisingly good, the place is clean, a little pricey but good.
Great place to have a relatively cheap lunch of great quality. It’s $14.99/lb as of September 2022 and the food is fresh and really delicious. Also: the cappuccino is one of the best I’ve had in a long time.
Nevermind the fact that this place overpriced even for midtown Manhattan but they really don't know how to operate and provide decent service. I tried to pay $3.27 with Apple Pay but was denied cause they have $5 minimum. I informed them that's the only form of payment I had on my person but they still refused. I had left my wallet in the office and just wanted to get a quick bite but they rather not accept my payment and throw away the food. I walked out of the store in utter disappointment.
Looked for places to eat while walking in the city. Dukes eatery was a great place for all of us to find what we wanted. Food was great, probably the best salad I’ve ever eaten.
This place is a machine. The amount of orders it churns out during peak lunch rush hour is insane. Though it is a fast-paced environment you shouldn't put a discount on the quality or the portions because they do not. This place delivers real value. It is certainly a midtown staple when it comes to lunch. When other options fall short Duke is always a good choice.
I went in here to get 4 coffees. The people behind the counter told me i needed to get a marker and some stickers and make labels for each of my coffees? I asked why? When there is about 6 people working there? The manager, Jake told me " that's how we do it, you can go somewhere else!" Not exactly what i would consider good customer service.
Place is very clean. My wife and I got breakfast. She had a veggie wrap and I got a platter of hash browns, eggs, buttered toast with bacon. Dukes has every conceivable drink option. If I was to guess over 200 bottle or can drinks ranging from water, juice, energy and beers. The ordering line can be a little chaotic, but it’s New York, so it works.
Clean, large food selection for breakfast and lunch and the coffee is excellent. We started our day here each day because the food is made fresh, is made to order and they make it fast. Definitely recommend and will eat here again the next time I am in the area.
