About Working Studios for Artists Story Building owners, John Kremer and Jennifer Young purchased the property in 1991 and have rented studios to artists ever since. California Building has monthly open studio events, gallery events, a restaurant and is an original annual Art-A-Whirl participant and supporter. And new this summer, an urban farm begins on the south land. California Street Farm operated by neighbors, Jim Bovino and Jillia Pessenda Bovino.
