About The Buddhist Meditation Center (BMC), also known as Watpaknam Michigan, is a Theravada Buddhist temple located in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Story The Buddhist Meditation Center (BMC), also known as Watpaknam Michigan, is a Theravada Buddhist temple that was established in 2009. The BMC is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about Buddhism or meditation. We are located in Sterling Heights, MI. Open Hours Daily: 6 am to 8 pm Daily Morning Chanting and Meditation: 6 am Daily Evening Chanting and Meditation: 7 pm (Winter Months @ 6 pm) Sunday Special Services: 10 am to 2 pm (Monks are offered lunch at 11 am) The BMC offers a English Dhamma Night and is a great 1st time introduction. The temple is a donation dependent organization, so donations are greatly appreciated but not required or expected.
