Dr. Ingram, originally from Summerville, S.C., graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a degree in Biology. After his undergraduate work, Dr. Ingram attended Nova Southeastern University's College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he obtained his doctorate in optometry. While in optometry school, he earned clinical honors in the areas of Primary Care and Contact Lenses as an intern. While performing his externship at the VA Hospital in Salisbury, N.C., Dr. Ingram gained extensive knowledge in the treatment and management of ocular disease secondary to systemic diseases and earned clinical honors in this field as well."
