Story The Pollo Riko concept started for the Villamil family as owners of a small Colombian restaurant in southwest Houston in the early 90's named La Herradura (the Horseshoe). Coming from Colombia to the states with the American dream on the for front. The Villamil family made their journey to New York then moving to Houston. Pollo Riko's mission is to mimic the experience of dinning at a restaurant back in Colombia. Charcoal chicken rotisserie over and open flame with its flamboyant oven being the attraction as Houstonian's from different parts of the world make their ways thru the doors. simply prepared homestyle dishes highlight the flavors, ingredients served family-style; or individuals creating their own experience with the different side dishes that culminate the menu at hand.
