About Natural Childbirth, Water birth (pregnancy/obstetrical care),Well-Woman Care (gynecological), Prescriptions & Holistic Remedies with Nurse Midwives Story Colorado's oldest and most respected birth center. A birth center is a State-licensed, outpatient faciltiy for birth. MMC is contracted with most major insurance and has been in operation since September 2006. Colorado's only independent practice of nurse-midwives (CNMs) providing obstetric services. All other nurse midwives are confined to hosptial delivery and directly supervised by MDs. Our Clinical Director is a CNM.
