About We are the premier source for retail and commercial high volume copies and prints and have served the Houston area since 1999! Story Specialties Copy Doctor is a high speed, high quality, digital copy shop and commercial printer. You can count on Copy Doctor to handle your document emergencies! We have the latest equipment. Our experienced staff is passionate about customer service and will always make the process of designing and printing your materials as efficient and effortless as possible. History Established in 1999. Copy Doctor was launched on June 1, 1999 when Don Sowa and Rex Baggett opened the first store in Friendswood, Texas. The name copyDR was created using the first initials of Don and Rex's names. The first store was so successful that on July 1, 2000, a second store was opened in Houston, Texas on Buffalo Speedway at Westpark. The Buffalo Speedway store also experienced rapid sales growth, and in June of 2005, was relocated to 3814 Bissonnet; a facility twice the size of the one it replaced. In 2008, we purchased our own building and relocated our Friendswood store to a larger, more convenient location, with ample parking for our customers! The real secret to our success can be summed up in one word: People. Our associates are known for their friendliness and willingness to go that "extra mile" for our customers. We have since come to be know as Your Document Emergency Room!
