Dane Austin embarked on his interior design career as a graduate of Washington, DC's Corcoran College of Art + Design, with classical training from the renowned Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and the Institute of Studies for Superior Arts in Paris. After several years with a reputable Georgetown designer specializing in traditional, high-end residential interiors, Dane launched DANE AUSTIN DESIGN in 2009, dedicated to giving clients a range of design possibilities that fit their lifestyles, from traditional to contemporary and innovative. Dane is an associate member of the International Interior Design Association - IIDA, and an allied member of the American Society of Interior Design - ASID. He is the Chair of the Fenway Health Art Advisory Board and a past member of the Board of Directors for ASID New England. His work has been featured in New England Home Magazine, Home & Design Magazine, Design New England Magazine, Refine Home, and The Washington Post. In 2015, he won the Excellence in Design Award from ASID. He lives in Boston with his husband Joshua and their two dogs.
