About Welcome to the Inside Scoop, Rhode Island’s award-winning homemade ice cream shop! Story In 2013, The Inside Scoop took first place at the RI Foodfight’s Incredible Ice Cream Throwdown. Rhode Island Monthly Magazine recently named us as one of the top ten ice cream shops in Rhode Island. We are an Editor’s Choice for Rhode Island by Yankee Travel Magazine, and the New England Ice Cream Restaurant Association awarded us with the Promotion of the Year for our “Movie Night Under the Stars.” Our creative ice cream flavors include chocolate peanut butter cup, coconut, coffee oreo, peppermint stick, sweet cream, butter pecan and apple pie.
