About Transportation is a basic human need and for older adults and people with disabilities it is often overlooked. Ride Connection provides this life sustaining and enriching service. Mission To link accessible responsive transportation with community needs. Products Ride Connection is a nonprofit aimed at making sure everyone has access to reliable transportation. The organization provides transportation services, options, and resources for primarily older adults and people with disabilities in Portland area, including Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. The services offered by Ride Connection are designed specifically for each neighborhood and area served. In addition each trip request is tailored for an individual's ability level and need. Individuals have the option to learn how to use the public transit system via our RideWise travel training program, take a neighborhood shuttle, or be picked up at their door with any of our ADA accessible vehicles. Last fiscal year, through a collaborative partnership with our network of over 30 community service partners, Ride Connection provided over 371,700 rides to over 10,000 individuals. In addition, our RideWise travel training program successfully provided mobility support and travel training to 137 individuals and supported over 1,100 other individuals in their travel needs.
