About Shorewood Yacht Club and Marina is a unique "home" for the sailor who seeks something more than just a place to tie their boat. Story WHY SHOREWOOD YACHT CLUB? SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: There's no better place to enjoy an active, year-round social life with kindred spirits who share your love of sailing. We host Gideon Bay Boaters, offering a full calendar of organized boat races and fun family events. CLUBHOUSE: You can entertain family and friends by reserving our fully equipped clubhouse. The four-plus acres of our beautifully landscaped grounds adjacent to the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail which can take you directly into downtown Excelsior. DOCKS: We pride ourselves on our strong, sturdy docks, with 117 deep-water slips for boats up to 42 feet long. Access to water, electric and pump facilities. SERVICES: Home to one of the lake's newest and largest travel lift service, expert boat service and repair, boat sales and rentals, and much more. ASA-certified sailing lessons are also available at our location through Northern Breezes Sailing School.
