About We love bicycles and no matter what you ride-we'll help keep you rollin'! Story Island Park Cycles was originally started in 1987 by Tom Smith. Today Island Park Cycles is more commonly known at Great Northern Bicycle Company (because of where the shop is now located...The Great Northern Depot, which was once the city's train station as well as an eatery/brewery). The shop is still owned and run by Tom (though with his wife Kari and Aaron Romaine). In 2017 we celebrated our 30th year as Fargo-Moorhead's one stop bicycling shop!"We are a locally owned bike shop located in the historic Great Northern Railway depot in downtown Fargo, ND. Our store first opened its doors in 1987 and we've been going strong ever since. Our collective passion for cycling is what drives us to deliver the best experience in town when it comes to shopping for a new bike or repairing your old one. We have a full service bicycle repair shop and stick by our standard two day turnaround time for most service jobs. We also carry many of the top brands in cycling and have a knowledgeable team ready to assist you with any questions you may have. Ride on!"
