After graduating cum laude from the University of Buffalo in 1973 and earning his law degree from South Texas School of Law in 1977. Ira quickly began a successful career as a criminal defense lawyer under the guidance of Jim Tatum. Five years later, he founded Chenkin Law Firm in 1983. Today, Ira Chenkin is highly regarded as a state and federal trial lawyer.
