Story Welcome to the Mid American Treatment Center for TMD, orofacial pain and obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Baker and his staff are dedicated to the most effective, non-invasive care for TMD sufferers. Dr. Baker has been treating TMD and chronic migraine patients since 1992 and has successfully treated nearly 13,000 patients. Early in his general practice he identified that temporomandibular joint and muscle dysfunctions lead to instabilities and a host of symptoms. Dr. Baker realized that treating the jaw joint was imperative for maximizing that patient’s health and well being. It compares to building a house, a stable jaw is the foundations upon which the dentistry, either restorative or orthodontics, can be successfully completed with a predictable outcome. It was with this philosophy that Dr. Baker, in 1998, limited his practice to treating and managing TMD, orofacial pain, and obstructive sleep apnea.
