About School of Dance Arts Pre-professional and recreational dance training Story Founded in 1989 by Chrystie Cannon, School of Dance Arts provides the community a dance and theatre program that supports students to develop strength, flexibility, coordination, musicality, and dance techniques, along with problem-solving, group and social skills. The program is based on increasing academic abilities and confidence through creative thinking and application. About Our Teachers The School of Dance Arts teachers have dedicated their purpose in life to dance education. Most have been teaching for a minimum of 10 years and many have their dance education certifications and college degrees from years of training, not only as a dancer, but as educator of dance. We pride ourselves in reaching each and every student through the power of dance bringing insight, excitement, motivation, and inspiration to every student in our classroom.
