About Creating masterpieces, one brushstroke at a time. Story The Mad Potter is a “paint-your-own-pottery” studio, where children and adults alike can try their hand at becoming the next modern day Picasso. Groups and individuals of all ages are inspired by our piece selection, design tools, idea books and friendly instruction & paint pre-made ceramic pieces from coffee mugs to plates, pet bowls to figurines and much more! How does it work? It is so easy: Just drop in to one of our 3 Houston area locations, pick a piece from our extensive inventory, design your piece, pick your colors and then enjoy painting! Leave it with us and we'll glaze & fire it, and in 3 - 4 days your masterpiece will be ready for pick-up. If you are near River Oaks, we are a great venue for kid birthday parties, adult birthday parties and corporate events. We accept walk-in customers at any time during our normal business hours.
