About We are a Church that Serves on the Lower East Side of NYC Story As a congregation and community center on the Lower East Side, Graffiti Church invites you to join in the joy of worshiping and serving God through helping and serving others. Graffiti began with serving children in the drug- controlled culture of Alphabet City in the early 1970s. We continue to serve as a safe haven for children, youth, and adults who want something more. Graffiti values worship, diversity, devotion, and enthusiasm. Check out our other centers - Graffiti 2 in the Bronx, Graffiti 3 in Brooklyn, Graffiti 4 in Hicksville, and Graffiti 5 in Coney Island. Graffiti has long been known as, “A Church that Serves.” We are privileged to share Christ’s love by meeting the needs of those in our communities in a personal and tangible way. God says it is important to shoulder the cares of others, and to be concerned for the situations of those around us. Through our vision, Graffiti is growing from the inside out. First, we desire to impact the lives of those in our community on the Lower East Side in a positive way. As we bless these people, we pray they will, in return, reach out and bless others. Showing God’s love often turns out to be a chain reaction, and we strive to be a catalyst for this movement.
